  1. thanks for that steve, but does anyone know which wire.??? :?
  2. is there any way to de-activate this?? as i cant get my tee-piece for my charger oil feed till saturday, and its driving me crazy :help:
  3. well had a long day yesterday installing my new vortech charger, :D many thanks to Ben (corradovr6sc) for all the help/advice yesterday, it was really appreciated. i just love the sound this makes, and the way its like standard upto 3000rpm, then you floor it and it just takes off, this is better than any xmas prezzie EVER, :D got some little bits to do still, but its great
  4. i have some farcela G3/G10, cutting compounds if you need to borrow some mate,
  5. Mmmmmm. may have to try it again in the new rado, as i would not have done that amount of miles in the old one,
  6. no chance  the most i have ever had on one tank was 280-285 miles, and all that was on the motorway, with no 100mph+ stints,
  7. very nice i think do it RADO.001 why not be a bit different??
  8. one big question Jay, how do you think you would feel when you see it been driven from you?? would the £10k make you feel ok?? i doubt it, it has been your life for the past 4 years, thats more time than any of my ex's.
  9. well i'm sure i can go about another 40mm lower than what it is at the moment, as these coilovers can lower up to 85mm, if you want some, i can get you the coilovers plus fitting/camber & tracked for £420,
  10. i have these on my vr marcus, and to start of with they were fine, but after they settled?? they have become quite crashy, and any potholes should be avoided, if you want we could meet so you could try it out??
  11. many thanks to Will (double 6's) for the supercharger i picked up today, top bloke, cheers :D
  12. well i have done it, i bought a supercharger today :D really cant stop smiling, just gotta get it fitted, which i have some expert help helping me, Ben (corradovr6sc) is hopefully helping in the installing :D as he should no the supercharger, as its the one he sold recently to Will (double 6's) i'm soooooo happy :D it's like xmas has come early
  13. an all time classic car, i had 6 in about 10 years and never had a major problem with any of them, i think the 280mm disc conversion is do-able, but you need g60 carriers/discs, so fairly straight forward. and get some pics up when you get it. 8)
  14. yeh i found no difference with my old one, if i used the crappy flexi hose where k&n suggested, so i routed it through the carbon canister hole, bit better pick up low down in the revs, but not great though. lovely sound though.
  15. not much room there. easiest way is to find a corrado/mk3 golf with some 288's on, and just try one of your alloys on it, sure someone here will help ya out,
  16. thats £650 well spent mate. but i would leave it a couple of weeks till you wash/wax it though, it just makes the lacquer cure properly,
  17. yeh ok bally, i was bored and tired :)

    Door / Panel ?

get a pic up, as they say, a picture tells a thousand words?? or something like that :?
  19. ace 312's?? . but no way BBC's
  20. looking very good mate, and loads of usefull info for people to use, keep up the good work
  21. i had exactly the same problem, i changed relay/switch, in the end got a 2nd hand spoiler unit for a tenner, and it works 100% now. i took the motor apart in the old unit, and found out the bush's in the old unit were really badly corroded.
  22. thats bigger then my lounge radiator, what is it from?
  23. completely agree chris, just start pricing things up RADO.001 stage 1/2 ported polished head, £550-£800. a set of good cams ie schrick £550. enlarged tb £150 re-map/chip £300 ish. stainless manifold (would not bother) £200ish. inlet/exhaust manifold ported £200. total it all up and you have spent approx £2200, and you may not even reach your goal of 240 bhp. and if you ever sell your car?? you can not really take most of these parts with you, with a supercharger you just unbolt it, sell it/put it on your next rado. as for the TT brakes easiest way to find out is phone style dynamix and ask if your wheels will fit a TT.
  24. looked into getting new callipers for mine last year, before i decided on TT 312's price new from VW for new standards, £155 each  got the complete front TT set up for £160.
  25. call me old if ya want to. but always do brakes before you make the car faster, especially with the crap standard brakes on the rado's. just go for some TT etc 312mm brakes. then charge it, when you total up cams/porting/chipping, manifold/exhaust porting etc etc, its cheaper to just to charge it, and what a sound
