haha yeh that sounds about right, all i can help with is it bloody fiddly and very very annoying but you can do it. -
if it helps i have all brand new nuts and bolts for doing this, and as for the gasket yeh its very easy to tell which one you need as one fits and one wont.
-
these subframes could be usefull, think you could get them to go lower easily enough?? http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=440794

yeh you can, but these seats are very very rare so you wanna treat them with respect. So come on how much did you get them for (pm me if you like) as i was watching/bidding for them on ebay and my last bid at £500 was the highest until they were taken off with 5ish days to go. i'm not that bothered i did not get them but just curious.
-
very shiny mate, have you looked any further into mounting the A8's yet??
-
this might help you maybe?? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?45412-Big-Ben-s-VRT&highlight=marcus

-
are these manufactured or available?? mine are shot again on the front (genuine vag) after about 5k, the mounts them selves are fine but the bearings are shot, as in the casing that holds the bearings has just split again. cheers karl

prices might help mate -
caustic soda will work, BUT it could actually eat the alloy depending on the grade of alloy used, if you dont wanna go down the shot/vapour blasting then get a 240 grade flap wheel and use a corded drill, this will shift it all but could look ****e afterwards, and for £20 a wheel to get them powdercoated i would not even bat an eye lid and just get it done properly.
-
good luck with the sale.
-
if nitromoors aint touching it then just go and get them vapour blasted, and then powder coated or a diy paint job with some hammerite.

hi Bill, received the bushes and the doorhandle this morning so thanks for the quick delivery, i was only expecting the rear bushes, so was nicely surprised to get the front ones also, your a star mate. Karl
