does anyone no if you can transfer the passenger seat over onto the the drivers side?? just wondered if anyone has before i look into doing it as the passengers side bolsters are mint, the drivers side ones are still in very good condition but was just wondering if this is possible?? karl

things are never easy are they?? i'm having to strip all the bloody paint off the vinyl as Nathan just about painted everything when he did the dying, this stuff is proving a right nightmare to get off.

i hate the Z3's with a passion unless its an M one, if i was looking for a rear wheel drive soft top with some ooomph i would consider a Honda S2000, i do really like driving them.

when i do mine REDFOX i add 25% water to the first coating as that really does help with the first all important bonding process, the 2nd coat only add 100% water and the same with the 3rd coat. Seems to work very very well for me.

well Gwerks have gone bust but i'm pretty sure that they sold the dubpower exhaust as there own just that pete at dubpower did not put hes metal sticker on them?? yeh you would, but not if fitted to a set of corrado sub frames, or a set of scirroco mk1 bases.

fitted some standard rear lights i bought of CAZZAVR, and started re-dying my front seats

they have no engines left i'm afraid graeme, but they do still have some heads available, and this will be about the 8th time i have done this dying process so i'm getting very good at doing this.

yeh it works out to about £850 from the cat back from the stealers, just get a jetex as andy said, as quite as a standard exhaust till you give it some welly and even then its not loud or boomy, just a very nice exhaust note.

i'm 99% sure that you cant buy this from vw, and if you could i bet it would cost a bloody fortune. well one thing i never got on with when i got the car was the leather dying on the interior, as it was obviously put on too thick and also not put on very uniformly, plus there was way too much gloss put on as they look very shiny compared to normal leather seats. I have already souced and swapped the rear seats and the doorcards for ones that had not been dyed, but no chance of finding some beige recaros that dont either need dying or re-trimming 2nd hand, so its dying time for me again, these pics were taken so you can see what they were like before and after i had stripped off all the old dye, sure you can see the difference on the bottom pic.

stick with what you have mate, they are rarer than leather recaros and personally i prefer the cloth ones, also as you said yours are near mint and you will never find a mint set of 16+ year set of leather recaros, so you would end up getting them re-trimmed anyway?? so if you want leather save your pennies up and get yours re-trimmed.

or just one coat of gtechnic c5 and use some billberry wheel cleaner every week.
