or two 10mm thick pieces of wood dowling with a piece of hose glued to the ends so you dont get any wood in the threads. used this method for nearly 20 years without a problem :)

a word of warning make sure pete that pete at dubpower tests it for any potential leaks, as i had 3 that were leaking but pete was great at getting them sorted.

oh yeh i forgot you will have to take the bonnet release cable off also, it should take no longer than 30mins to do the first time.

its just bolted on mate, theres about 12 bolts in total, headlights out and grill out and you can get to all the bolts easily enough.

well BMW didn't lie about the top speed as had 155mph out of it earlier today :D plus there was still loads left, apparently it will do 186ish with the restrictor deleted, so far wiped the floor with my mates focus rs, and had a play with an astra vxr then decided i was getting bored so floored it. this may have something to do with it??

having seen your car chris, and also seeing Asims a few times (when i was buying alloys off him) yours is seriously as mint as he's.

well the 540 is parked up on the driveway :D i love this car its just so smooth and so fast, i can honestly say that upto about 40mph its on par with my corrado when it was supercharged, but after 40 it would have left the corrado standing :shock: if anyone thinks i'm making it up i will happily prove them wrong. and the MPG is not that bad, on the motorway i was getting an average reading of 34mpg, and town driving i was getting 22mpg. As for the corrado its still being broken down, just lost the love. :( karl

to be honest the standard exhaust is stupidly quite on them, whats the point in having a big V8 under the bonnet if you cant hear it?? and honestly they are soooo quite inside i dont think it would be annoying. and yeh Leonard pm me when theres a meet going on near you mate, and you can have a go in it no problem. karl

i have one that was recondioned about 4 years ago in the shed, bought it off e-gay a few years ago as the steering rack on my blackberry RIP vr6 was shot, but never fitted it.

i changed on my first vr6 the heater controls, all the bowden cables and bought a 2nd hand heater box as the cogs on the original were well fooked. took about 1.5 days to do, but the end result was a corrado you could have a sauna in.

looks like the first upgrade is going to be an exhaust 8)

well i was on the computer yesterday for nearly 6 hours looking for one Matt :lol: and go on have a guess Jim. and heres a stupid thing, my 330d touring which is insurance group 14 cost me £375 to insure fully comp etc etc, a 540i which is insurance group 19 will cost me £387 fully comp etc etc :shrug:
