its def not the MAF as its a 6 pin MAF, and i'm sure all the golf vr's had the 4 pin MAF.

your doing something wrong mate, the airbox sits in 3 mounting points and it all just fits together easily. are you sure the airbox is from a corrado and not a golf vr6 as they do differ. get a pic or two up, if you get stuck i can pop over one evening.

liking the new wheels Rob, as soon as i saw them on your car i thought they would look even better powdercoated a dark cream colour, so as to match the interior a little.

i would seriously reconsider an s3 mate, i have said it before but you wont like a puny 1.8 after the vr, i have been there done that in two different cars and they are just sooo boring, theres no soul no character to them, yeh they will deliver some massive power figures at a price. do the proper thing and buy an A3 3.2, when you get bored with the 250bhp slap a turbo on it :) i have seen some lovely 02/03 plate A3's with a proper engine in them go for about 5.5k-6k. if you bought a 1.8t powered A3 it WOULD be sold within 3 months, i put money on it.

i had the quote online but due to the type of car??? i had to phone them up and tell them about myself, and past cars i had owned, when i said i once drove a supercharged corrado vr6, the other end of the line went very quite :lol:

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE i have never dealt with such a complete inept /stupid insurance company ever, i phoned them last week as i had still not received my policy for the BM even after asking for it about three times, when it arrived i was fuming :censored: the policy was for some reason not started for a calender month from when i had insured it, so for an entire month it was not insured, i obviously had asked for fully comp cover and the quote was £410 all in which was very good. BUT they have only insured me third party :censored: so phoned them up and had a right ding dong with someone i could hardy understand. Was informed that they could up my insurance to fully comp but it would cost an extra £210, even though i was looking at my quote which i had saved on my pc stating that for £410 it was fully comp. i cancelled my insurance with them on the phone call, and have since had three phone calls from some office manager/area manager and some toffy nosed twat which i was not very polite too :lol: looks like its back to chris knott then for me. karl (an un-insured BM driver till the morning)

stunning alloys and will look ace on a corrado 8) dont get selling them in a few weeks though :lol:

both have there flaws, i'm sure you will soon get sick of attaching/un-attaching the clutch lock especially if you have a bad back. and i had one of those disc locks and soon got pee'd off with it when it was not secured to the steering wheel, it just does not stay still in the car and was always smashing against something.

reds with OE discs are very very good.
