E-type would be my ultimate classic car, then a shelby gt.
-
sorry but the worst tyre ever was the star performer :cuckoo: which is weird seeing there actually made by Avon.

i think Yokohama is japanese for only use in the dry if you want to live, if you think the Parada's are lethal in the wet you should try some A539's in the wet while going around a roundabout :nono:

you will never get the indicators working 100% correctly if they have been sprayed, i tried about 8 different bulbs and i was never happy with how bright/orange the indicators were. In the end i sold them on as i had a couple of scares while waiting to pull into a road etc etc, and the car behind could not see my indicators/brake lights properly. for the sake of vanity its not worth having your car written off.

thought it was about time i put some pics up of the new BM, its older that what i was looking for but it has massive service history plus it had a new manifold fitted last year, as these manifolds are prown to breaking the swirl flaps and throwing the broken bits into the engine. all was going well with the BM until i noticed the waterpump had a tiny leak, so decided to fix this ASAP, while changing the waterpump which is a complete B***H of a job i dropoed the pump and split the rad :censored: but alls well. and as for BMW saying there cars ar the ultimate driving machine?? lets just say there engineers never drove a corrado vr6  couple of pics, look at the MPG in the pic also, not bad for 220bhp/385lb 8) (yes i have had it re-mapped)

FK AK's are terrible on a vr6, save up some more money and get some better suspension.

he also mentions the bottom end is a bit "chappy" sorry but these boxer engines are mega money to buy. and lets face it every 2nd hand one has been ragged by some baseball cap wearing asbo holder. -
A Break From Corrado Ownership.....Impreza Ownership
KADVR6 replied to Corrado_Addict's topic in General Car Chat
so you went from a rusty corrado that would cost £££££'s to fix, and bought a subaru that needs a new engine  i can see how that makes financial sense NOT, have you priced up how much the engine is gonna cost, and also how much of a complete pain it is to replace the engine in one of these things. -
make sure you have some tissues at the ready. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... &logcode=p

yeh Matt, you just need to find a good platers that does "specialist" plating, i use a company called century plating in birmingham, they didnt even charge me for doing it, but i did get them there biggest customer some 15 years ago. any platers that do zinc plating will do the passivation process.
-
its like a lacquer but has brilliant resistance against salt/oil etc etc, when i worked in a Automotive/Aerospace manufacturer, about 90% of all metals used had some form of passivate coating on them to protect them from the elements.
-
yeh thats what i thought also, why do vw originally put the sump at the bottom?? looks much better on top
-
well tomorrow i'm gonna be putting all the engine bits back onto the block, thats if i can remeber where everything came from  ALL the componets have been soda blasted and then powder coated, then they have been clear passivated so they will stay shiny for a long time i hope. this is the only pic of the bits so far as the rest is sitting near the engine waiting for tomorrow. so wait for newbie type questions about where does this go??
-
it does have a solid flat/slanted face mate.

Mmmm i was expecting more of a "what you doing" than that, i love the corrado but want to go back to a mk2 at sometime soon then the white one came up for sale. i'm going to view it next week sometime so i can see how good/bad the conversion was done. and i agree Michael about the bumpers.
-
Aaaargh, i'm really tempted to buy this car and turbo it. BUT if i bought this i would not be able to keep the corrado :( so do i keep with the corrado?? or buy the golf?? help me see sense on a sunday with a HUGE hangover. link http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=255417
