Anyone have a front lower bumper grille for early Corrado? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Is there a secret to getting the speedo cable disconnected from the gearbox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Oh and yes it is the KR... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was thinking that might be an option, just crimp both wires into a new spade? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah - to the rescue :) Thanks, will look out for confirmation! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent you a message... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Was removing my starter motor and one of the wires has snapped when removing from the terminal. There are 2 thin black wires feeding into the connector which slots onto the spade connection on the starter. Need the connector with enough wire behind it to splice onto the loom. Thanks! How does £50 posted sound? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Here's some photos... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hopefully the last question, but probably won't be.... How do you disconnect the gear linkage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Oh, that sounds pretty straight forward. I don't need to disconnect anything wheel side? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone talk me through what I need to do with the driveshafts in order to get the engine and gearbox out together? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will look it out later today and take a couple of photos - part numbers etc... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if you got a matrix yet, but I have a Valeo one that I got shipped over from Germany a couple of months back sitting in my garage. If you want it - I still have it! I think I paid £95 for it, but wouldn't want anything like that for it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, might just go ahead and take the manifold off - as it's going on the other engine and that might give me enough access to get the manifold off... Learning as I go :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Yes - of course the manifold will be used. I don't have a/c, so one less thing to worry about... I was hoping to lift with the gearbox still attached? I will replace the clutch while everything is out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got started on the engine bay this morning. Got the rad out and got the wiring disconnected and labelled. Got the fuel system disconnected and the ht leads/ distributor cap out. Next will be the starter motor to disconnect. I will get front end off after that. What next? Do I just disconnect the drive shafts and just loosen the mounts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the help! Will be transferring all the KR injection and fuelling along with sensors so I can use the same wiring. I have been reliably informed this is an easy swap over... I am planing to remove the gearbox with the engine - guessing that's the easiest way to go? Was planing to take the front end away for access. Anything I need to be aware off as this will be my 1st time to attempt this kind of operation? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a 2.0 9a ready to swap out for my KR. I have an engine hoist, so what's the best way to go about this? Thank you :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Definitely the 9a cams - I lined up the marks and the inlet cam is 027M. The exhaust cam is 027, so I am guessing it's only the inlet I need to swap out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only issue is that I will need them posted... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry, forgot all about these - you still have them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the help! I will definitely be putting the KR cams in. Just wanted to make sure the ones in there hadn't been changed to KR at some point previously. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the reply.... Seem to remember you trying to convince me about the turbo a while back :) I have a KR in the car, so can switch the cams out of that one. Although, it would make it tricky when I come to sell the KR... It's a strong engine and I already have someone lined up to take it off me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just bought a 2.0 16v 9a engine. I just wanted to check what cams are in there? Can anyone identify just from the photos, if they are KR or 9a... Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
