in those shots it looks like a rounded off vauxhall astra.... ....especially the rear shot.
-
...... and sadly just as much a ballsache as the head gasket to do - in fact, i'd much prefer to do the head as the heater matrix.....
-
see now, i'm running a bigger cooler so maybe dropping some pressure due to its volumes - i stayed safe at 11psi at about 47mm i have 4 pulleys i could do a swap with you if you know the size you want...

thats the 60nm bolts +90 DEG

need to pick your brains re: exhaust bits - i need to make an exhaust as well. just got in from the garage - puffing and panting a bit after hoicking (?) the gearbox back on but now the fidanza is on, new chains and timing gear all round 8) ;-)
-
what a damn coincidence - i've just come out of the garage to check my bentley manual on cd for flywheel torque bolt settings.... bizarre

mmm... had some rc's for a couple of years waiting to be refurb'd - are they 17's or 18's james? will hopefully have mine sorted over summer when i get the bugger back on the road

well all i can add further to this debate is that this box is the best thing i've bought and its just a lack of education of those who don't realise what it adds to a car. as mr cheesy says. its an overlooked upgrade when in truth its one of the best upgrades around - and very rare and exotic but should not be disregarded out of hand. many would rebuild and engine, add a chrager or turbo for more money but a box such as this adds so much more. i doubt i'd sell mine - not unless i brke the car

NEW CORRADO FORUM INSURANCE SCHEME VIA CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
H8RRA replied to ChrisKnottIns's topic in Insurance
don't tell me insurance was the only thing holding you back james - now you can go for 600-700bhp??!! ;-) -
agreed but even so, doesn't sound bad. if it was blue/black, would have bought it and went to have a look before paying -easy really

prices are falling through the floor........ surely its worth more??

i believe this is the same as my box and i can highly recommend it. I've used it a lot and love it. first is std and gives you a chance to get off the line without revving to high too quickly and 2-6 is superbly spaced so that each change drops you 500rpm or so - theres a vid on my car thread showing the gear changes up to 100 or so. I thought i got a bargain at £1200 and would hope for £1500 if i sold it the helical whine is just loud enough to be nice and to know theres something special going on without being instrusive - its one of my favourite things about the box. i did originally worry it would be too loud before i fited the box but its fine. one of the best thing i've bought - as most of you will know, i'm running best part of 330+ lbft without any issues whatsoever

H8RRA- a 'mate' snaps your bottom chain-what do you do?

rear ones stick out but stay in place - just havent got round to grinding a bit metal off to flush them.... -
depends how capable you are - i guess from the questions you're asking, you wouldn't be doing the work yourself. If thats the case, the case it could be quite expensive to sort out - sorry, don't know the price of G60 parts especially in america but just labour alone could be quite a lot. If it was an easy fix, ie plug lead or plug, it would have been done. Its more likely something internal and until the head comes off, it could be many things. Unless you've got replacement parts and doing the work yourself, could be very expensive. If i was in your position - on a budget, having to pay someone else, I would stay clear and save for a running, working corrado.

there are smoe smoothed mirrors on my 'c' - i'll sort out some close ups at home and post later http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=41047&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=h8rra

sorry for slow response - very slow - haven't looked at the thread in a while. I relaced the door seals, not the ones around the window but only the one running along the length of the door. The rear window was removed and original seal went back in. the dash lights are blue LEDs but not overly bright ones so the light is softer -
