  2. i get that, but theres numerous maps for different ecu's - dizzy, coilpack, cp ecu etc....... .... of course, you should be considering a remap anyway, mind.

  5. possibly - drove mine again today james and i'm not so certain of the difference up to 120-130 plus but the quietness is impressive - only down side is that my long stroke motor already has a spacer stainless steel gasket in to get to normal compression and to turbo, its more enginework i'd prefer not to do - but there again, i wanted to rebore and go forged to 3.3-3.5 ish anyway :) spoke to jimmi and will be seeing him shortly so who knows what will go down
  6. got a vr for sale shortly with engine receipts for rebuild less than 40k ago but seriously considering charging it to stg 2 wondering if it is worth while - would hope to get £4500+ charged to stg 2? Comments anyone??? Good price or anyone interested???

  11. bugger me - all that work......... these turbo vr's are totally ill-fated, what with wires problems, your matrix and now this!!!!! not worth seeing if you get sorted with another job, james before jumping??????? I'm sure work issue have hit you hard but you may have another job in a short space of time - a man of your undoubted quality - and you'll be okay.

  13. i've just bought them - can't remeber if they were £17.50 or £35 each but definately not whats suggested above - just call vw sunderland, jimmi and ask chris or steve

  16. i've fitted my adjusters from std lights but the part that fits in the light itself if the part that causes the problem - i'll have to take some pics

  18. i think thats correct but i have another problem in that the part that came with my headlights for adjusting the level of the lights doesn't seem to be corerct and i can't adjust the lights low enough - ie they illuminate the sky - well almost - i would appreciate it if someone had a pic of the height adjustment fitment that should come with the angeleyes

  20. nope - but on the topic of snaps, worst one was recently the wishbone bolt that took some getting out as they are hardened. lost interest since that episode as spent every night for a week chiselling, cutting and grinding trying to get the fecker out
  21. fraid i bought a car down leeds way with them already done - heres some pics i think you can see that the cloth area is alcantara and edged in leather with the remainder std vinyl -
