[/quote:6d9e3] LOL - this made my evening having a read of this. can understand the pain of the loss at a 'freak' accident. can strangely also relate to his point regarding the seatbelt - not saying i condone it - but can appreciate why he said what he said. i was in a crash with a friend driving - was in the back seat and had i of been wearing my belt at the time I'd most certainly not be here typing today. but....i wasn't the driver nor controlling the wheel or speed. still... what an attitude!!!
-
yeah it will. gwerks keep half the boost return piping now and run it off at a filter. keeps the noise down by half apparently.
-
i'll leave the sealant - you dont want some of it getting in the charger
-
i'm sure billinjah has made his own headlining - maybe drop him a pm to confirm
-
what happened to your engine mate - i can remember speaking to you about it sometime ago
-
truly makes you wonder what the world is coming to. frightening really... i was chatting to a guy who works for the navy over xmas - he told me that once they accidentally dropped 90tonnes of fuel (cant remember which) into the atlantic. and they're worrying about particles in the air... its ridiculous
-
great for carrying bikes though!
-
nice one. let us know how you get on :)
-
cheers - is there any particular increase in performance? to hold it in place you could maybe use metal ties tying the hosing and the brake duct together
-
theres a few different ways so best to just take off the bumper like you say and have a look. taking off the bumper will only take 5 mins
-
nice. how did you find the cold air feed after fitting? and how did you wire in the neon light? i hate the poor boot light thats std.
-
my head gasket set has 8 of the injector seals in - etka confirms there are 8 as well. hope that helps
-
where did you get that diagram? dont forget your cam belt tensioner. are the beru leads decent - just got crappy halfords ones at the moment
-
and youll have to replace the head bolts. not sure about the injector seals - i'll check tonight as i have the kit at home.
-
camshaft gasket is included within the head gasket set. g-werks sells the elring gasket set and head bolts with washers at a very reasonable price (just got them myself as changing head shortly) - far cheaper than vag. get a new tensioner with the cam belt. Apart from your fluids thats about it as far as i know. Being anal as I am i've got new manifold studs, nuts, cam shaft bolt and washer etc - just new fixings really.
-
quality stuff
-
what i thought - but maybe with a dish - not sure. first time i've really been taken by them though.
-
well thats true. more importantly - what are the wheels on the picture above?
-
what about when you go abroad and you have the reverse? sure it'd be easier leaving it alone!
-
cool - will use this alongside the tape for now then.
-
i've used some decent gaffer tape and it seems to do the job. spent a good while neatly taping it on. not sure what tank tape is - assuming tape with extra strong adhesive?
-
:) cool. think i'll get 2 exra screws for the rev gauge face too. cheers guys
-
^^ agreed cheers guys i'll give that a look. i did notice when i put the rpm gauge back on - there were only 2 screws - whereas there are 4 available spaces to use them. anyone notice this?
