  1. I'm trying to find some replacement alloys for the Corrado as I really do not like the BBS solitudes that come as standard on the storm. I even prefer the speedlines and the BBS G60 style ones - which I had on my valver once upon a time. I'm looking for some inspiration / ideas / suggestions about which alloys to add. The car is lowered 40mm and when I had it years ago it was on 17" TSW alloys - the ride comfort suffered a lot - so I would not consider 17" - ideally 15" for me, but I'd consider 16" wheels. I want something that suits the car and just takes away the 'OEM' look. I also need something that will suit a green car. My budget is about £350 - so if anyone sees any may fit the bill please let me know. I have had a look on ebay and the parts section here, but no joy so far. I'm struggling to know what to search for on ebay and not really sure what look I really want. Sorry for being vague - and thanks in advance!
  2. Just a couple: 001 Rear Brake house slight corrosion to ferrules [3.6.B.4e] 002 Brake pipes slightly corroded [3.6.B.2c]
  3. I'm tempted to say that I would let anyone with insurance drive the R32 Corrado - but not sure that is wise - I can offer ride in the car while I drive it for the first five people that get there maybe?
  4. Spotted a blue Storm parked up on Acre Lane - A232 - in Carshalton @6pm ish - number plate was a standard N-reg - anyone on here?
  5. Would anyone know if the following wheels would require any adapters, or would they go straight on the Corrado: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150780473572&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123#ht_689wt_1396 I asked the seller - but no reply - I'm hoping they would go straight on?
  6. Joey - I'd be interested in the full set + collection from North London possibly - I see you are on holiday now - so let me know when you are back.
  7. Sounds good Matty. I can now confirm my R32 Corrado has a new MoT - so it will be there end of the month - definite scope for some test runs down the A3 - which is right next to Krispy Kreme
  8. I've always liked to stick on badges to say what engines are in cars - I think it comes from me getting annoyed when I cannot do the same to other cars! BIG NEWS TONIGHT: The car has a full year's MoT sorted! The car has spent most of it's life on my dad's driveway while we tinkered around with the electrical issue I had a while back - from tomorrow it will be parked outside my house for good - and I'll be able to really feel like a Corrado owner again. Exciting times :)
  9. All the previous badges were removed by previous owner before it was re-sprayed - so I didn't have the Corrado badge, nor the storm one! I was thinking about adding a note to say that I was not going to keep both VR6 & R32 badges on the grill in case someone thought I was - especially after my 'not to everyone's taste' comment!
  10. UPDATE: Things have been quiet on the Corrado front as I've been moving home! Today was the first time in almost 2 months that I got to drive the car. I had been doing some reading up on the Emerald ECU setup for cold start as well as other parts of the software and was keen to try some slightly different settings. Well, car used to have issues with the idle - now idle is absolutely spot on - funnily it was disabling the option to have the Emerald ECU try to adjust the idle that got it working nicely! That along with minor tweaks to ignition advance settings. I need to test again when the engine is cold, but happy with how it was running today. Another change, that seems to have made a big difference is putting in a brand new battery. I had issues with the other one not performing well all the time, and knowing you have a nice new Bosch Silver one helps a lot! Today I had a chance to add my first styling changes to the car - very minor - but they do help it feel like your own when you add them on. They may not be to everyone's taste - but I'm loving them :) MoT is due in the next few days - pretty nervous about that - hope it will get through that, then I can actually fully enjoy the car knowing it is set for another 12 months.
  11. They have indeed! They have also stuck my name (Arif) on the end of the car name!
  12. Hope I'll have the R32 Corrado there with an almost-new MoT for us to look at while scoffing doughnuts and drinking coffee

  14. I had forgotten I started this thread - great to see all the comments :) Got the car MoT in the next few weeks - but good after that - did someone say last weekend in April? I think that is a good suggestion. Shall we go with Sunday 29th April @ 11am?
  15. Changing the ignition switch is all part of the joy of Corrado ownership! There's a nice little guide on how to do it on the forum
  16. elliott - where did you find that one? I've not seen it before either! As said, it is sad - but good to watch.
  17. A stunning looking car & conversion!
  18. I'm sure others are thinking this too..... can we see pics HummuH?? I am intrigued!
  19. Wahoo! 4 ppl interested :-) - I think a spring / summer date would be best, need to sort out MoT in March and after that would be good for me
  20. Car fired up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fuse was the root issue, just gave it another few cranks today and it fired up!! Leaving it with my dad who is wants to tidy up the electrics before I drive it. So pleased it was just the fuse and no major sensors etc!
  21. I live very close to a Krispy Kreme drive through - and every few months there is a massive meet up for American muscle cars - and it would be a great place for a Corrado meet! Not really sure how to propose this, so just created this thread. 22. I think last night when looking at the software I saw a 'VVT Map' - but can't remember exactly - let me check and post that up. FishWick - if I sent you my map file - and gave you the link to the software - would you be interested in loading in the map and taking a look at the settings? It is mostly Greek to me - and with your R32 experience I'd appreciate your view on it :)
