  1. ECU = engine control unit = engine-management, they are all the same thing. If you are doing a conversion, people either use standard factory-management, rechipped ECU or use stand-alone engine management e.g. MegaSquirt, Emerald, MBE etc. If you are doing a 20VT conversion I would recommend visiting the Quantumm Performance Engineering website (http://www.qpeng.com/products/vag_plug_ ... _kits.html). They modify existing VAG harness or supply new one, along with remapped MBE 992 ECU, 3-bar map sensor, to form plug+paly kit for doing 20VT conversion into rado's. This is the easiest route I reckon and pretty cost-effective too.
  2. Or buy french-spec Bosch new glass fog-light lenses direct from this guy, £45 delivered for a pair I think. They also look a lot better than the arz-tuning ones and will be top-quality (better than any film / tinting-effort) : http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52403 Cheers
  3. use the search mate, there has been lots of discussion about the best gearbox / ratios to use for the G60 Cheers
  4. For rears you just need new rear discs, for fronts bit more involved but do-able and plenty donor cars breaking all the time for complete front 5-stud change.
  5. People that buy BBS RS with weird offsets / stud patterns do this all the time so they can run adapters to get the wheels on. Lots of the BBS RS wheels are ET20 / 15 / 12 etc with incompatible stud patterns, but shave off some mm from hub mounting face and thin adapters then fit on and offset, although still low means not much arch work required. I ha this done to a set of MiM Vauxhall offset wheels I ran on my G60 and had 12mm taken off the hub face. Wheels ran true with no problems mate.I used a local sheet metal workers that had a CNC lathe to shave off the required mm's. As I said, costs about £10-£15 a wheel and ran them for 8 months with no probs.
  6. Get a new headlight glass from the dealer. approx. £18 and there is a guy on here that does replacement glass fog-light lenses for about £35 for pair delivered, see below link. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52403 Failing that get a secondhand headlight or fog-light from someone breaking a rado, or buy completely new units from GSF, Eurocarparts and get skint doing it !
  7. Er, it can easily be done mate, think it was me that told ya bout it, as I had it done a while back. It's only metal you are removing from the hub-centring face, so can't understand why can't be done due to offset being "slanted" whatefver that means ? Anyways, easy enough to remove 5-10mm per hub-face, usually bout £10-£15 per wheel.
  8. door lock pulls or interior door handle pulls ?
  9. Ok, I need to know if my FK Konigsports purchased for my G60 some time ago will ALSO FIT a rado VR6 in the same way. I know the spring rates are different usually for G60 / VR6 suspension model variants, but just need to know if the fit is the same. Regards
  10. The bumper used to be on my white 16V to G60 converted rado, but became damaged so was probably going to be scrapped. However, Paul said he would have it back so somehow convinced me to climb into a skip at the garage to fish it out for him so he got it back for free. He then repaired it then put it on his new VR6 rado, not bad eh ! Good luck with the conversion paul !
  11. How can I tell if it's coming through the heater duct ? Where about is it and how can you tell if it's blocked / leaking ? Water not really smelly or sweet (there is a LOT of it though), but somewhat sticky-ish and if coming through heater duct and not matrix, this wouldn't explain why coolant level dropping and coolant warning light on ?? I'm guessing I should do something with the water as well then, this mean I need to take out the seats and carpets I guess ?
  12. I got my Sparco polished alloy adjustable front brace for about £110 from Demon Tweeks
  13. £36.95 according to their website mate
  14. Not good man, I have the following symptoms too, an inch of standing smelly water in passenger footwell, soaking wet carpets all on passenger side now all way through to nearly rear bench, coolant warning light on, steamed up windows and coolant level in expansion tank keeps going down......not a good sign is it, sound like the matrix is going / leaking ?
  15. Standard G60 wheels are BBS RZ, 6.5X15" in size. BBS RM are 2-piece split rim 6.5x15" in size and were only offered as an extra-cost option on rado G60's.
  16. Looks like a good project mate. ben16v, the interior is just standard US-spec rado G60.
  17. Think MK2 Golf front splitter fits ok to the rear of the rado, have seen it a few times, also as someone mentioned the front spoiler can be fitted to the rear and would look good colour-coded I reckon, like here and looks ok I reckon.
  18. Just bought a set of Bosch Xenon 6000k HID's for fitting to my C's angel-eyes, all for £100 delivered off eBay. Total bargain, and they will be such a great upgrade for the cash. Well worth it. Gitted a set to my mates 156 Alfa and there was a massive improvement.
  19. Audi S4 has 265BHP 2.7 V6 twin-turbo engine and early (3B) 2.2 20V 5-cylinger turbo-engined S2's have 220BHP and later S2's have the 230BHP (ABY) engine ;-)
  20. It looks very like a Mercedes Sprinter Van intercooler too me, both in style and dimensions mate, Cheers
  21. B******* to that mate, you have not entered into any sort of contract with them therefore you DO NOT have to accept any settlement offer they have made. You are NOT liable for any costs as you have not entered into an agreement to keep the car / accept any offer as yet. Have patience and stick to your guns, get the file together of things like I suggested, mention court / the ombudsman etc. If you have fully-comp. insurance, then usually as part of it you get free courtesy / hire car. But the car is usually provided to you on a CREDIT-HIRE basis, i.e. you are liable for the cost of the rental if it cannot be proved that you were not at fault for the accident. If this can be proved, then the third-parties insurers have to pay for the hire. Good luck mate and HTH.
  22. Ree-poooost, but Correct it's not a S/C MK3 VR6 but an EIP-tuned VR6 turbo drag-prepped car. Does the quarter in a very short time !
  23. :( Someone in the know must be able to help me out here ??
  24. Some for sale on eBay at the moment mate though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OZ-Futura-split-p ... dZViewItem
