There are four 19mm or 17mm bolts two on one side two on the other but they are slightly recessed so you will need a long reach socket, no massive issue to do tho

Pretty much sorted, one of the levers had jumped out of its normal position, still seems quite tight in the dash tho but its in and workin so im no gonna complain

I was just looking at my lambda probe and it bracket today, interesting bit of kit on the bracket there appears to be a bit of a connector like and earth bolted to it but its snapped off, anyone know where this could be from??? Also the earth for the lamba probe itself, where abouts is this usually bolted to???? Cheers Ross

Yeh the cups were on my dads mk1, but i sold the rad G60 BBS' and forgot about the fact that i would need to move it at some point :oops: , he got them back tho

Right i guess its about time i updated this thread, ive finally decided to bin the 16 valve engine just because when i was looking for a rad in the first place it was a G60 i was after. I know most of you think that swapping engines into a car where you can already buy it is silly but i got a stupidly good deal on the G(whole car for way less than and engine would go for) so its goin in Check The "Donor" donating :lol: Engine is actually out here, its quite worry how little actually holds these things in, about 5 bolts if i mind right I then proceeded to rip the car apart and pillage as much from as i could, it shows :lol: its pretty, seems a shame to rip it to pieces, it doesnt know wots about to happen to it The lump is out but for some reason i neglected to take pics of that :oops: Wasnt just prepared to drop the lump straight in tho, it got some love as well its pretty much ready to go in, just need my charger and stuff back from MR G-man and its all go Started doin stuff to the interior, all important guages, present from the missus for chrimbo, ace had to buy me own pod tho and thats that so far

As im changin over engine looms i need to get some more of these wee ziptie thigs that hold the looms in their respective places, they sort of clip onto the body and then you tie up the cable, if anyone jnows what the hell im on about can you dish me up the part numbers Cheers Ross

Aye mine too but brians(dubster82) one locks everything from the inside, weird???

Right today i changed my heater matrix, it was horrible but i got it done. Thing now is the sliding section that controls the flaps and stuff doesnt seem to want to fit back in the dash, it seems way to tight but as far as i can see there only appears to be one way it can go in, im thinkin the routing of teh cables must be wrong but im not sure can anyone fire me some advice on this?? Another thing ive noticed is that the bottom slider, the one that controls the hot and cold air wont slide all the way over to the hottest setting, has anyone experienced this before? Cheers Ross

Just running through that wee checklist there mate, it appears i pretty much did all that stuff especiallythe covering up with a big cloth, old mans old dresing gown it was, did a good job. No luck on the warm front tho, in fact it was snowing tonight when we were welding in my new battery tray :shock:
