  1. Audi 100's have the bigger pump, im still searching the scrappies for one

Tried the other dash and its still the same so i can rule out the dash bein guff, i tried to use my old 16v clocks and put in the speedo cable, the speedo worked but the rev counter didnt, so i have a choice of clocks with no speedo or clocks with no rev counter, can someone please help me out here. The G60 clock loom has 2 extra connectors over the 16v one, one is a black 2 pin connector and one is a white 1 pin connector, could anyone tell me where these connect to on their G60?? Cheers Ross

    Radiator Replacement

    Its quite easy if you unbolt the fan housing first and take that out then the rad, only a couple of hoses and the slam panel brakets and your on your way, rads for the G are not cheap tho
  4. Wehey i got my lights on, super quick delivery tempest, impressive. Sent on thursday recieved on friday but i was out, camped outside the post office on saturday mornin and recieved them large. Bunged them on today and im super excited
  5. If you could check bently to see if there is a way to test the speed sensor that would be ace, cheers guys Ross P.S I got a spare dash last night so ill try that as well

  8. Right couple of dash issues, no speedo and ive changed the speed sensor but they were both 2nd hand ones. Also the 2 wee arrows that show your indicators, when i turn the ignition on the right hand one comes on but slightly dull and then when i indicate(either way) its only the right hand one that works, any ideas cos im :? ta

  11. Im pretty convinced my blue temp sender is goosed, car is a bitch to start and there is a fair smell of petrol when it does start, idle is also weird. I think the stealer needs to order the senders in but in the mean time will its still be ok to run the car?? Cheers Ross

    I think most people with valvers wish they had a G60 or VR6. Thats exactly how i felt, so i went for it. Valver out, G-unit in Enough motivation and help and you can do anything

    I can vouch for the 50mm inlet fold doing the trick, ive jusr swapped over to G60 power so if you want my manifold just let me know looking for about 70 notes if your interested

  16. Heres something, when i filled it through the radiator, furki said the water would come through the top hose and that would be it full but it never, any ideas as to why it didnt or was the boy furki getting mixed up??

I took the top hose off and filled it up through the radiator, im gathering that this is wrong :oops: I also left the cap off all the time it was running, so im guessing that maybe the water boiled over before the temp guage could work?? the oil was only at 68 degrees. So i take the top hose off and fill it that way?? Right ill give that a spin, ive also binned the thermostat for the mo just to make things easier. Cheers guys ill let you know how i get on

  19. Filled it through the bottle, always have done, im goin on the assumption that the stats a dodgey one, ill boil it up in a pan in the morning and see, any ideas on the temp guage??
  20. Been trying to get the rad sorted and its almost done, it runs really well now and im pretty happy but its not to happy with its cooling?? I ran it yesterday but it appeared the water pump was mashed, so that was changed today and it was filled up, heater on hot and i would fill, run, top up, run and so on till it seemed happy enough. Let it run for a while and the water light was flashing but the water was at the top of the bottle and its was coming back through the return, so i let it run. It ran fine for long enough, the oil temp was getting to about 60-70 degrees but the needle on the water guage didnt move, then my old man shouted me to turn the car off cos it had boiled over so i did. we checked the hoses and the radiator, the top hose was roasting, the rad was freezing and so was the bottom hose. Questions Is my water bottle mashed?? Its a new thermostat in the water pump, could it be the cause of excessive cooking and no water access to the radiator? The black sender beside the blue one is the sender for the temp guage on the dash?? Is mine broken or did it not get up to temperature enough?? Cheers for the help guys, this is pretty much all i need to know to get my G60 rolling Ross

    Dash question

    Right car fired up today which is good but there isnt anything happening on the dash bar the mileage is coming up, no rev counter no petrol guage and no lights for oil, water and battery. Is there a fuse for the dash??? Cheers Ross
  23. ok man will give this a go, i was scanning posts last night and i found mention of an earth strap but i couldnt make out where this goes, any info or pics even??

Ok we were crankin her over today but there was no life in her, shes gettin a spark and is timed up and shes gettin fuel but only as far as the rail, the injectors arent letting any into the chamber, anyone any ideas what i can check, im guessing the big connector on teh end of the rail is like main feed and the 4 injector connectors take their power off that?? Also how many earths are there on a G60 in total, ive got the one behind the battery tray and the 2 that go onto the rocker cover is there any more that i have missed because i think that could explain a lot Ta
