searched but couldnt find...i could just be stoopid. if i lock the car from the drivers door, the CL works, from the other side it doesnt and from the alarm remote it doesnt. so the central locking isnt locking the drivers door. its been suggested i might have a kink in a pipe somewhere.... anyone else had this problem? anyone suggest first place to look as far as troubleshooting goes? cheers chris

just wondered how people had got on with wiring this up? looking through etka it would seem that only some of the cars came with the loom for the gauges. has anyone found they have the connector built into their stock loom? if anyone fancies buying a whole new dash loom, there is a specific one for if you have these gauges.... 536 971 052

Ok, had a fiddle on etka, that part is long discontinued and now replaced by 049 103 599D, which is listed as a sump for audi 4 cylender cars 1978 to 1984 with the DZ engine code. heres the page of etka that refers to it..... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c252/ ... 981/dz.jpg theres nothing to say this isnt a 16vg60 sump, afterall vwm would have used whatever parts from the bin they saw fit.....

if i can find a late cloth intirior my full leather will be available big guy! scouring german ebay but it seems to be a bit of a rarity

so my minty heated ones might be worth a bit more....... i like the idea of leather, but in practice im not so keen. alcantara like in the delta integrale evo2's :) yum!

managed to get the apprentice at the mot place to change it for me...tiny little car thief hands.

the alarm i have can be fitted with a microwave sensor...would this replace the ultrasonics? is it as good/better?
