you know what really gets me about disabled badges?? the people that misuse a family members one when that family member isnt in the car. living in the centre of southampton where its all double yellows, the amount of people that mark on them and stick a disabled badge in the window who are in no way disabled. this is not in anyway to be taken as a racist comment, but 90% of them are young asain males in brand new prestige cars....on their own, with no phsical disability. occasionally the traffic wardens catch them getting back into the cars and ask to see the passes which it would appear normally belong to family members who are not with them.....talk about abuse of the system... anyone who isnt disabled or doesnt have a disabled person in the car and either uses a pass or a marked disabled bay deserves a bloody good hiding. on the flip side, all parking spaces should be bigger.

the frost kit is a mix of abrasives and heads, and polishes and mops...

it doesnt seem to be doing it....theres no run on, no pinking, performace appears to be good.....was only that vagcom picked up the fault. can someone take me some pictures of what im looking for on the engine? i know that one is at the front....

when we took mine apart, other than being worn from 98k miles of use, the same section as yours was weaping oil....just because it does....theres nothing holding the head together on that part of the engine.

has nothing to with headstuds, other than a lack of one in the right place from what i remember....

what happens in J491 GCD stays in J491 GCD.

one of my knock sensors is giving a ground to earth error on vagcom....so its fair to assume its dead. can someone post up pictures of what they are, and where they are? would it be fair to assume that if one is dead, then then engine is running rich and thinning the oil out....hence the high oil temps? does anyone have some known working ones for sale in the southampton area?? cheers chris

It would be fair to say that they have gone for "safe" options with all their current models. My missis buys me the car design yearbook each year for crimbo, and someof the stuff they sketch as concepts are spot on (up to this year when the only car in there from vw is the passat....)...yet they never make production.
