Not too keen on the halo reverse ones. Think the standard reverse ones are the better looking of them all.

Try this thread, which is the most recent of a number of threads on the same subject. http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewto ... light=ccgb If you want anymore info, search for ccgb and it turns up threads aplenty. I'll close this one now.

Flipping Corkills IOM can't seem able to get hold of any of the parts! grrr! Don't suppose anyone knows of a dealer close to them that has some parts in stock?

Another one who is waiting for a loom here. Will hopefully have it fitted this weekend, and then for some uprated bulbs to go with it. Any recommendations? Anything rated better than the Phillip's?

There is a little 'C' clip that you need to pop off and then the barrel should slide out.

I think the avatar says it all really

Could we keep this to pm or email please? I'm sure he'll get some pictures up anyway (if he hasn't already :)). Cheers

I'm off for over 2 weeks now guys and gals so any sticker transactions that I have not sent stickers out for, are unfortunately going to have to wait ie if you have a cheque in the post. I have sent off all the stickers that I have been paid for, and some that haven't! Keep the emails/pm's coming though and I will deal with them when I get back. Ta

I have a contact and I am hoping to get my hands on 5 more of these. The ones I should get will be 3-button rather than 2 - lock, unlock and one for boot release. Price will be a long way off what the dealer would charge for an additional key. Somewhere in the region of about £30 hopefully. I've actually seen one (only 2-button) go on ebay for about £120!!

No......that just adds to the comedy!! Saying that though, I think there might be one. Only a small operation but he deals with a lot of top-spec cars.

Right let's have some names for the Isle of Man RR day ............

How well does it fit Nigel? Any wobble/looseness at all? Keep meaning to get round to doing mine!!

Try readjusting the boot catch. Sometimes it just works a little bit loose and the boot doesn't sit as tight as it should and can cause rubbing/squeaking.
-
When I did mine, I didn't put the key in the tumbler. Didn't fall apart though.

I think you've confused Aural and Anal, Dazzy ;)

Cheers toxxin, I'll check that out.

Any good ARB recommendations? Heard that they can be a bit of a pig to change but I have no idea of what's involved.

Thanks for your different angles on things guys. At the moment, I'm swaying towards just the lowered springs...... I'm not going huge drop - probably just 30-40 - nice standard C so I don't really want to slam it mainly because of the speed bump issue. I love the look of a really low (within reason) car though. I also think that I will wait until the shocks need doing before I think about the coilovers. I doubt I would get very much for some 40k mile shocks really so it wouldn't offset the cost of the coilovers very much. What are the other main things to improve the handling?
-
I have the money for coilovers and a few other bits and pieces. My question is though, am I right in justifying spending £500+ on coilovers rather than £60 on some lowering springs? Dampers are original as far as I know, and I don't think there is anything wrong with them, other than being a bit bouncey with the standard springs. Problem 1 is that there are a couple of harsh speed bumps where I live so I might find that using the springs takes it a bit too low, whereas with coilovers I can drop it to just the right height. So, springs for about £60 (second hand obviously) and use the rest to sort out ARB's, and some other bits, or coilovers for £500+? Opinions/views very welcome. (Or save up for longer and get a charger? Not really a good option because I'd want to have the handling sorted out before fitting a charger.)
