Yeah all the mk2 Golf's I've had have had shockingly bad handbrakes due to the rear pads. Even on the C - I park on my drive (which is quite steep) but always leave it in gear - when you get in a press the clutch, the car sometimes rolls forwards!

Well what's stopping you having a limited mileage policy on the C and spending some cash on it? Cough* 16vG60 *Cough ;)

What does everyone think of this idea........ We could have a sticky thread (ie sticks at the top of the forum it's in)........ We put down some specific (average) details and we could all chip in and select and insurer to get a quote from. This way we have a whole list of insurance quotes for a 23 year old driver, with 3 points, driving a G60/VR etc, 3 years ncb and we can pick a random post-code. So at the end, we have a list that compares each insurer's quotes for the same driving details. Good for comparison. ??

Are you going to have the company car long term? a) Sell the C and use the cash to treat yourself b) Keep the C and spend the money you're saving from running the company car and splash the cash on the C! Personally I prefer option b).

Got to say, I like the RS4 - it just seems to keep with the Corrado's styling really well.
