lukeage, i got the top illumination bulbs off him but i used my own filters as i wanted red like the mk4 golf
-
http://www.oichan.org/mods/lcd/lcd2.htm that explains it better mate, the top illumination is - replace the three bulbs with 3 blue led's and remove the green plastic filter the polarised filter is in the lcd's , just turn it around, took me under an hour to do the dash
-
once you've taken the pod out once its easy, i could take the pod out of mine in 10 mins, really ! lower the steering wheel to the lowest setting , pull the small tabs bottom corners of the cowl, undo 4 screws, thats the cowl removed, 4 more screws thats the pod loose, pull the plug on the rear and lift out job done ;-)
-
the dash is easy mate , 3 led's on the top illumination (direct replacement bulbs) and reverse the polarised filter and add a coloured filter for the lcd's , yeah the switches are a bit fiddly but theres no rush ;-)
-
do the switches and dash illumination to match instead crummy pic but you get the idea

agree to disagree, agreed ;-) dont come to me when you have wobbly wheels or knobbly knees ;-)
-
i love this (firdt pic) second pic is photchopped but i dont care

i know what you're saying and in theory they should'nt have an affect but they do , maybe be more so on certain wheel designs (hub fitment?) , the ones i had a problem with were khan rsr's , mmm khan :-) certainly a grey area but if its known to happen and its free , its worth a check the obvious one with the spiggot rings is the yts lad- spotty wayne balances your wheel and leaves the spiggot ring on the machine :-) i'll have to log in under a different name and make this 3 -2 ;-)
-
Phil K, you know bill and i are right , fold damn you ;-) if your wheel is a gnats handbag of center it will have a wobbly effect :-)
