looks superb mate ,the paint actually looks wet (sign of a good polish ) did you use quik clay on that aswell ?
-
whether this relates i dunno , maybe ... someone asked why one wheel sticks out further on their mk1 golf clipper reply was ..... "VW offset the axle mountings slightly this way to balance the corner weights of the car to counteract the engine being to one side (heavy) and the transmission to the other (lighter). "

i've got a bmc cda , awesome sound mate....very addictive ok the top bolt is 60nm (44ft lb) bottom is 55nm (41 lb ft)
-
yep i rated the new mount mate , much smoother i've asked a few places about the wheel sticking out and no one seems to know, longer driveshaft on one side etc but nothing definite have you got the torque setting or do you need them ?

27. How much oil should I use to re-oil my filter after it is cleaned? To determine the amount of oil needed for your filter, enter your filter's K&N part number in the Search by Part box on our Application Search Page. If you don't know the part number you can look it up on the same page. Be careful not to over oil your filter. http://www.knfilters.com/faq.htm#16 right at the bottom of the page :-)

not keen on the cf bonnet but that looks superb on those wheels

have you checked the disc isnt hotter on the left than the right ? could be a sticky piston ? i know you have had the camber set but have you done a visual check from the front of the car, that both wheels have a similar angle/lean ? does the rack knock at all when you are turning from lock to lock ? when you turn the steering wheel how much play is there before the wheels turn ? there is a way of tightening the rack to reduce play have you checked the tyre pressures ? do you run the same tyres front and rear? if not swop the rear to the front

Henny, thats what i did originally but i didnt like the look of them , so i dropped them into the grill and phased them , now the sound bounces off the screen (works well) imo

http://photobucket.com/albums/v518/GIXX ... 010085.jpg STANDARD AND vt MOUNT
-
no you dont need a pit mate , you jack the car up using the standard jack at the front/side, undo the mount and then use a trolley jack with a piece of wood on it to lift the engine , this will allow you to remove the mount then put the new mount in and hand tighten it , lower the engine down and push the engine back and forth this is so it sits on the mount without causing stress against the other mounts, then torque it up job done
-
you use two socket extension bars together and you can undo it easily is it the vibatechnics front mount that you bought ?
-
my brother followed me one day and said loads of people look at your car , so maybe they do and i dont notice ??
-
i've had sebring on other cars and they are generally cheap and nasty - poor fit and fall to bits i have a magnex , good fit and nice sound so far
-
mounted mine to the grills, using the U bracket thatcomes with the tweeters
-
fit the vf mount yourself ! all you need is a trolley jack and half an hour its simple really
