Well said  I think sometimes opinions get confused with facts. Just because a person has opinion "A" about a certain subject, that does not mean another person with opinion "B" is wrong. Is is just an opinion - not a fact.

If the part numbers are the same then you shouldn't have a problem. I'd just bung it on and see what happens...

This is either a good idea or I'm gonna look like a retard again... How about using a narrow pipe/pipes containing liquid nitrogen on the inside of the air intake system somewhere ?? As most of you already know, liquid nitrogen is extremely cold and I'm sure would cool the intake air very well.

Just a thought - route your power supply cables down one side of the gear tunnel & your RCA + front speaker cables down the other side. The power cables will interfere with the signal in the RCA leads if they are placed together. That's what I did with both my amps - 800 watts of pure music power..............

The clip is at the very back and underneath the leather handbrake release handle. It's fairly small - squeeze this clip upwards towards the handbrake lever. The leather handle will then release and slide forwards off the metal handbrake lever (past the handbrake release button). The plastic trim will then slide forwards off the metal handbrake lever. HTH

While we're on the subject - what's the best CAT bypass available for the G60 at the moment ?? My Magnex is only CAT back, my CAT's knacked and I want more power !!!
-
Got a Magnex on my G60 - very loud but that may have something to do with the R1 supercharger & Jetex/Jabba induction kit..................

Where/how to get hold of old service records?
stevemac replied to CazzaVR's topic in Suppliers Forum
The garage is absoloutely correct in what they have said/done (legally) The service records for any motor vehicle belong to the person/persons who paid the bill and not to the vehicle. The only way around your problem is to get written permission from the previous owner for the garage to release this information. Previous owner's address should be on the reg document. Sorry m8 but that's how it is. -

M1 convoy to CCGB national day from north (24th August)
stevemac replied to stevemac's topic in General Car Chat
Looks like we'll be meeting some Corrados from the North West just south of the M1/M6 junction. Anybody else want to meet there ?? -
That's how mine works as well - on both systems. I just thought it had been designed that way.......doh

Permanent power feed cable size will depend on the output of your amplifier. I have 480w and 200w amps in the boot - the 480w amp has a 8-gauge power cable and the 200w has a 10 gauge feed cable. If the cable that you use is not thick enough then you run a real risk of setting your car on fire !! The switchable feed for both my amps is taken from the electric aerial output of my CD/radio unit. When the CD unit is switched on an electrical pulse from the electric aerial outlet switches the amps on and when the CD is switched off, another electrical pulse is sent down the same wire to turn the amps off. Run your power cables & RCA/speaker cables down seperate sides of the car.

I have Bentley running on both my laptop (windows xp) and home pc (windows me). Both installations work really well. Only seems to cover VR6 & G60 models though !! Paid for itself already... 8)

Good looking car - Corrado's look so much better without the silly side mouldings.

I started a thread the other day regarding a M1 convoy - maybe we could use that for listing the meeting points & times ? http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2703 -
Must be due to emissions regulations.... :(

g60rado - I see your from the states. Passat G60's were definitely exported to the states. Is your Corrado G60 speedo 160mph like in the UK ??
-
I can confirm - Passat G60's (think they were 4wd but I maybe wrong) do actually exist. Not sure if they were ever imported into the UK though. Speedo in Corrado G60 is 160mph - Passat G60 is 140mph Not sure if it will physically fit the dash & electrics though

Why don't we all write our forum user names on a piece of paper & leave it on our dashboards. I'm easy to spot because I have very short hair & a sh1tload of scars on my head. I think the best way to solve this problem is for us all to meet at a pre-determined place/time in Milton Keynes, then travel to the CCGB day all together ?? -

I can meet you on my way down from Leeds. Let me know what time & services. Can't remember if there's any services around East Mids Airport. Maybe we could meet at Leicester Forest ?? -

I'll be driving a Corrado................ -
I think you just answered Joby's original question :thumbleft: That maybe why the previous owner was using lead replacement petrol instead of unleaded.
