  1. Full fuel tank costs will depend on how old your car is. Early G60's had a 12 gallon tank, later ones (like mine) have a 15 gallon tank. From bone-dry, mine will take around £60....
  2. Ahh - I knew they were stretch bolts on a G60 - the 16v ones looked like they were embedded....it was dark under the car though.
  3. Approx (measured with a ruler): 35mm exhaust 40mm inlet I've looked at the head & bigger valves would not fit - there's no space left..
  4. Not sure if we do the piston rings but we definitely do the rest of the stuff. Con-rod bolts won't be needed - the studs are embedded into the con-rods.. (they were on the last one that I did)
  5. I'm surprised Ian - I would have thought a big valve head would have been close to the top of your shopping list. I'll give you a call if I get stuck.. You gonna have something back on the road for next spring.. :?: I'm gonna have loads of fun, setting the adjustable cam pulley. I'm gonna start by setting it dead centre & then try retarding/advancing it a bit to see which setting I like best.. :D
  6. Any sportscar tuning specialist should have a wideband in their tool collection..
  7. It's not running anything at the moment - my engine's stripped on my garage floor.. :( Along with various other mods that I'm doing, I'll be expecting at least 220bhp - hopefully a bit nearer to 240bhp... 8)
  8. I just collected my brand new cylinder head this evening.. 8) The valves in it are the largest that will possibly fit into a PG head. It's ported, polished & flowed.. :D Can't wait until I slap it onto my car next week, along with the ported throttle body, fast road cam & adj cam pulley........ :rambo: Good old ebay.
  9. There are many possibilities for your bad fuel economy - your Jabba chip is definitely one of them. Although the Jabba chips are custom written for each car, as Nige just said - they still have a tendancy to overfuel.
  10. When I bought my G60, the switch was held onto the steering lock with a cable tie......... Worked perfectly well though..
  11. Yeah - replace the cam cover gasket....... Did you re-fill the coolant via the top hose ?
  12. Seriously - inspect this guys vehicle to see if there's any of your paint on it..
  13. What's his address - my m8 here says he'll come & break his legs for ya....
  14. I would be ready to explode if that ever happened to my car.........

    Hub

New hubs are "cheap as chips" - we sell 'em, can't remember exactly how much though.. :? You'll need a press to fit them .. :( (change the front wheel bearings at the same time too)

    Gearbox

May as well change it - that is one of the possibilities with your difficult gear selection. Be sure to use the correct gearbox oil - fully synthetic.
  17. I'd still rather own an Evo 8 than a beemer though....
  18. If you've never done the bearings before - get someone who has, to show you what to do. There are a few horror stories on here from people who have fitted/adjusted them wrongly.. :|
  19. You used it neat or mixed it with water ?
  20. Yup - GSF would love to be your regular parts supplier..
  21. What exactly is a "Trysump" .................
  22. Magnex on mine at the moment - too quiet... I'm getting a custom built exhaust before I put it back on the road in the spring.. 8) It's gonna sound like a Harley when I've finished..
  23. alom, You're changing just the switch & not the whole lock assy ? If so - you need the smallest/shortest phillips screwdriver on the planet to remove the screw. Try also moving the steering column height a little to get better access.
  24. Around 40% is the ideal mix for UK winters.
