Corrado's with less than 100k (like mine  ) are very few & far between. Be prepared to pay higher prices for very low mileage !! Beware also of "clocked" cars - HPI check is a must.

Tekara, - Welcome to the forum m8 8) IMO - which car you get will depend on what you want from it. I wouldn't call any car an "investment" as you will need to spend money on it. More important than wether you get a 1.8-16v or a 2.0-16v is the condition & history of the car. Find a good one that's been looked after. Be sure to get a HPI check done before you buy - regardless of how good the car looks. All Corrado's need a bit of TLC & if they are given this, they will hold their value much better.

Neither have I. My rear lenses are completely black, although the lights shine through the tint okay. In over 12 months, I've passed 1 MOT & never been pulled or questioned by the police.

Magnex stainless steel exhaust system has very similar oval tailpipe to standard

Tom - I'm organising a trip for next years race, if you're up for it ?? http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 558#122558

Hi Paul, You've inadvertantly answered you own question. Corrado handbrakes should never be adjusted at the cable end. Once you see how the self adjuster mechanism works at the caliper end, you'll see why. Correct cable adjustment is to place 2 nuts right onto the end of the threaded part of the cable - so the cable appears to be very slightly loose. These cables are a specific length & If your handbrake lever feels loose when disengaged - your calipers are seizing & require replacement The adjuster cams on your calipers need slack cable to allow them to adjust properly. We stock a good range of VW calipers & should have whichever type you decide to get - in stock.

I thought g-man (Darren) was producing/fitting custom built coolers & pipework now ?? http://www.g-werks.com

I have some good quality, custom made carpets from http://www.justmatz.co.uk They'll add any logo/border that you want, in any colour that you want. :D

That sentence should have been close to the top of this thread. The only noticable thing is how much torque at the wheels & where it occurs in the rev range. Anything else is just pub/forum talk !!

Couldn't cope without the rear wiper tho

Another word of warning, if you ever use fuel injector cleaner - change your engine oil shortly afterwards as fuel injector cleaner will contaminate your oil.
-
Not 100% sure on the VR but usually I would expect to find it under the car next to the OSR wheel. Plan to replace any hoseclips (use only steel jubilee clips) & rubber mounting bobbins
-
Correct - there is no service interval but when I worked for VW, we used to change them every 2 years. Fully synthetic oil - leave alone. Maybe worth changing every 10 years or so. HTH

£5.47 + VAT

jimsG60, May be off-track here a bit but I had a fuel smell problem a few months ago. It was an aged rubber fuel pipe - connecting to the pass side end of the fuel injector rail. Quite short in length, bending upwards through almost 180 degrees & attaching to a valve. The rubber had rotten & cracked with age.

Give me a shout if u need a dizzy

Having so many sticky topics kills discussion in this forum
stevemac replied to spoier's topic in Suppliers Forum
I'm with _leon_ on this one. The forum is multi purpose - it's not just a discussion forum. It's a source of technical information and advice. Any threads made "sticky" are done so for a reason. spoier, which specific "sticky" threads do you object to ?? -
Better replacement - no. The hard plastic stuff should be fairly widely available & lasts for years. If you need the ECU vac hose (1meter long), I have a spare - send me a pm.

You don't have to thrash the balls off a car to enjoy it. I do 8)

Try Chris Knott insurance - beat my nearest quote by £300 this year !!

Hopefully we sell them - I need a set too

I've decided to fit the bumper before I take it for painting. I can adapt it to fit properly & alter the light/indicator mountings if necessary. Ian - you don't like the Reiger ??
-
No idea which make it is - it's one of those nasty fibreglass things. No markings on either the bubblewrap it came in or on the bumper itself. I'm gonna get around to fitting it in a couple of weeks - I expect it will need a bit of re-working, most spoilers usually do.
