350Z is RWD tho, so that rules it out more then other models IMO. I would defo say more along the lines of an Integra R/Focus RS/Leon R/Clio V6

Yea sounds about right, leave the sporty models to the Leon/Ibiza, quite disappointing tho with VW.

Yea, but considering that it is pitched above the price of a CTR and nearly as much as an ST Focus, they might of atleast put a smaller cc engine of the Golfs 2.0T unit.

Corrado wouldn't stand a chance, especially om the twisties, they have 4wd & YAW control.

17k for that car is just silly given the competition, I mean, the Focus ST is starting at 17.5k! and that laps the nurburgring 10secs quicker then the old Focus RS, so what chance would the polo stand...

that was probably an FQ340, are sure it was only a IV tho? more likely to be a VII/VIII, still very fast indeed, tho still not as cool as a C..

Yea true, the point I was trying to make tho, is that he is actually suprised at the time it takes to come on boost, when in a 2.0T car with 400bhp, and he is in 5th gear at 30mph. Even if I didn that in my VR it would also take a few seconds to build up speed.

Looks like they will be showing the EVO FQ 400 VS THE LAMBO. This wa a great contest, and even JC's 'average' driving skills in the FQ 400 are too much for even the mighty Lambo. Good example of a giant killing car, and piece of engineering to get that much power from just 2l & 4 cylinders, even if it has a massive turbo. They seemed to make a massive point of the cars lag, they are obviously too used to there fat V8 sleeper cars and not accustomed to actually stirring the gearbox 8)

Think it's pitched around the Fiesta ST/Mitsi Colt turbo price, so maybe £14k

oh god yea, I just assumed it would be a 1.8 version of the 2.0 GTI. It must have the KO3S turbo tho so will probably remap to around 190bhp. The next Ibiza should be tasty, but way too long to wait for that too.

Yea, and they have recently released a 240R 1.8 Supercharged one, based on the toyota engine, looks completley bonkers, would have to prefer that to even a Boxster S.

yea true, I would love one regardless, but would prob be a bit disappointed with it's top end punch, ie above 60. I had a play with one and it wan't a match for my 12 year old VR but I have no doubts, on the twisties, it would leave my VR no probs.

120hp, hardly loads of power, not being pedantic, but for 9.5k I would prob be lookng more along the lines of a Supra TT, although still prob not as much fun.

I really love Elise's, I used to be obsessed with them but have gone off them slightly, just not practical enough, bet it's great fun tho ay!

Read about the new Polo GTI, takes styling cues from the golf, but seems a bit under powered at only 150bhp? Especially in light of it's competition. a)Clio 182 b)Cupra 180 c)Fiesta RS 180 (not out yet) d)Corsa VXR 180 (not out yet) e)206 GTI 180 It has a 1.8 litre Turbo engine tho, so it would seem that the car is in a fairly detuned state...

gees, when I take mine in on saturday, I am going to check the mileage now, I swear, if they drive it more then about 2 miles, I will give him such a hard time, and find the culprit. I live in Sittingbourne, Kent, so not sure about the VW dealers down here.....
