Hold up! I bought my car off a guy who had these fitted and the handling was very off! I sent them to the UK Koni dealer (Camberley Auto Factors) and had them sent off and they've been bench tested. All I needed was the original Demon Tweeks receipt from 2001! The guy you need to speak to is Trevor Leigh. Here are the vitals: Camberley Auto Factors Unit 1, Hawley Trading Estate, Hawley Lane, FARNBOROUGH Hampshire. Post Code: GU14 8EH Telephone No: 01252 517272 Fax Number: 01252 522470 They found that one of the fronts was faulty. They should be sorting it any day now.

You must have excellent taste! :)- Last of the BBE h/u's I think before Alpine stopped using BBE. I think it sounds so much better with it switched on.
-
I'm sure others have these but I haven't seen any other Corrado with this gauge pod:

What a coincidence! - My g/f is picking one of these up tomorrow. 1998, 27K miles, "Berkeley" edition no. 155 out of 500. Apparently it was the run out version of the older pop-up headlight version. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I was told that there a special VAG tool (there's a suprise) which you put over the gearstick and then adjust the cables accordingly. 16VG60 adjusted mine when he did a load of work on my car so I'm not sure of what's involved.

Cool, I'm T Wells! Oettinger: Your interior looks mint!

At least you don't drive a Nissan Micra. Happier now?

pah, jets are cheating! Imagine the conversation: "What are you running?" "G60 with stage 4 charger, FMIC, red tops etc, what are you running?" "Rolls Royce...........................Trent!"

I had the alarm in my old car fitted by GAP (Clifford Concept 300): > "brain" was installed within easy reach onto the side of the steering column > It kept going off! The sensitivity was set way too high > The volumetric sensor was mounted using velco. As the car heated up and cooled down when parked the adhesive gave up on the velcro and the sensor was hanging off > The u-shaped part of metal which mounts the siren in the engine bay had been bent so the siren was only held in place by one bolt thus invalidating the Cat 1 status of the alarm > Wires were not tidied up and were gathered up in the scuttle panel

Firstly unless you know the ins and outs of the charger and you're a competent mechanic then get somebody to do it for you. Work will be gauranteed and you know that you'll get a top job done. If you mess it up and damage the delicate scrolls you may be looking at £800 for a new one. Second use either G-Werks (g-man) or JMR (16VG60). Both are proven to provide excellent service and quality workmanship. Mine's going to JMR in August. Also, the porting by Jabba is not known for being all that thorough so you may wish to ask whoever does it to "tickle up" the porting whilst the charger's apart. :) John (JMR) is on 07974 020031. If you leave a message he'll call back this evening and talk over what your requirements are.

I had one bundled in with a load of spares when I got my '91 G60. I don't know why the bloke hadn't fitted it as it takes as long to fit as it does to undo a nut and do it up again! As above, it makes the gearchange smoother although the best thing to do to improve the cable gearchange is to make sure the cables are adjusted spot-on using the special VAG tool. Changing the oil also helps esp. if it's a bit sticky when going from 1st to 2nd when "pressing on" ;)

VAG, dunno and yes, much better! :) 2 out of 3's not bad!

I doubt it, it's just like any other front facing apeture? I think they look very cool, especially as I can probably count on one hand the occassions I have ever needed to use fog lights on any car. I'd only get them if they were properly functional though. Otherwise it's a bit like putting a stick-on RGM bonnet vent!

Have a look at my pics on the dubforce link below, the fronts are set at their highest. I don't know what this drop is in mm though. :)

My mates ended up in that tank completely wasted one night when we all went to a 6th form ball (going back a bit!) at the Hop Farm. Needless to say that when tucsedo's were returned to the hire shop they didn't take too kindly to the liberal coating of axle grease on the jacket and trousers! Oh the memories! Awesome pics by the way!

I think how tyres perform is more about how smoothly you drive, running correct pressures and having sufficient tread when the going gets moist!
-
No idea about the T1-R's but I've had the T1-S's on for some time and they seem fine in my completely laymans opinion! I only got them in all honesty because they were a "premium" brand and at a very good price from http://www.mytyres.net

I'm happy with my Highsports :) Had 'em on for a few months now

 In my G60 I found it hard to keep the wheels from spinning in 1st and 2nd and 3rd and my car was only rolling roaded at 172 bhp. The G60 gears are very short and the surface is very shiny. Good luck with nitrous! I hope you've got an LSD! Can't you bung it in a high gear earlier on and hit the nitrous and hope the high gearing means there's less wheelspin?

They make noise that's for sure but the bikes are just incredible. So many of them are home made jobs as well! Running NOS as well mostly!
-
Even with "uprated" discs and pads you've still go the same diameter disc being grabbed the same caliper. Maybe it's time you went BIG (assuming you've got room under your wheels!)
-
That's a great time for a std car! saysomestuff: I thought that jet car sucked! It made a load of noise and wasn't that quick. The motorbikes were quick! How's 7 secs standing 1/4!
-
Yeah definitely- Don't expect any decent times for the first few go's but you'll get a flavour of what it's like and your times will only improve. The feelings the same whether your sitting behind the wheel of a std Corrado valver or a Sumo Racing Skyline with 900 brake.
-
Count your lucky stars (and the German safety men with clipboards and white coats). Remember that cars are easily replaced.
-
Yeah, but they're running 911 turbo engines! That's cheating! When I went to the 'Pod you got more respect for giving it a go that being scared to. My mate did loads of runs in his std Scirocco- maximum respect! I was in the queue behind a turbo'd bug and felt a bit intimidated. It had a rollcage and a parachute which certainly meant business! Some of the quickest cars there (without being big power Skyline silly) were MR2's. I will go again after the next bout of work (including a s/c rebuild) and I'm aiming for mid 15's!
