  1. K&N or a std VAG one to be honest. Won't make much difference.

    FK Coilovers

Mine were in good nic as they had been replaced by the previous owner. I got new wishbones, bushes, ball joints and ARB bushes though!

    FK Coilovers

Mine were £420 delivered from Venom. Richard was very helpful there. I was slightly apprehensive that they'd offer a rock hard ride but I'm very chuffed. vwcvr6- As I'm running 15 inch wheels with 195/50 tyres, the ride is helped by the fact I have a bit of give in the sidewalls of my tyres. The ride will be slightly firmer with 17's as the tyres will be lower profile (205/40 probably). I wouldn't have thought it would be excessively harsh though.

    Front spoiler

Right, the coilovers are fitted and I think that the 90mm spoiler is going to be OK :)
  5. It does look a little that way you're right. At least I can drop the back down a bit without readjusting anything like trackng etc :)
  6. Not quite as low as yours ;)

    FK Coilovers

I've just had some fitted and the ride is vey supple. If anybody is considering getting some "budget" coilovers and cannot stretch to the Konigsports then the Highsports ride very nicely. I can't speak for their longevity over the Koni bodied Konig's but I'm well chuffed :)
  8. Went to the Pod last week and achieved a PB: Steam cleaned engine....
  9. I took off the 17s that came with mine and found some original 15 inch BBS wheels and fitted them. The car looks wicked with the original 15's and you get a much more comfortable ride with 15s! Schmidt Modern Lines in 15 look great though, especially if the car's low. A SuperT in 15 on a Corrado would look a bit odd IMO as the spokes don't go right to the edge and make the wheel look smaller. Also the multispoke design I think looks a bit out of place on the Corrado.
  10. I've just got some FK Highsports and got new wishbones (with bushes already fitted), lower ball joints and drop links. It's an altogether different animal now. The poly bushes which were on there that I replaced with std ones were shot to bits. I'm not convinced that poly bushes are all that great to be honest.
  11. My car also pulls to the right under power slightly. Following a test drive, JMR diagnosed other wierd high speed handling characteristics to worn dampers. I'm having coilovers fitted on Monday along with new wishbones and bushes, new drop link bushes and new ball joints. Following that I'll get it laser aligned and it should be good as new. Unlike my wallet which is as good as empty :(
  12. Can't, already ordered them! I need something now as the car handles like a bag of spanners. I ordered mine from Venom too, nice chap that Richard guy. Good price too.
  13. I believe the porting of the manifold takes 4 hours and John charges a very reasonable £70!

    Midbass....

I run 5.25 components in sdt locations with 2 rolls of Dynamat Extreme in each door and 8inch DEi mid bass drivers on the rear (stealth) shelf. They are all run off one 2 channel amp as the DEi's crossovers feed the components as well. Mid bass can't be that well caterted for by components as the cones are so small, no matter how much sound deadening you have! Pics of the midbass drivers are on my dubforce links

Dave, could well be mate! I'll see how the 90mm goes. :)

    Front spoiler

Thanks for the good response guys. Magik has bagsy'd it via pm first if I was to get rid of it. GIXXERUK: There is a small split in one of the corners but you can't see it at all as the plastic is quite flexible and tends bend/snap back into place. I'll put you next on the list if you want! £30 is not too bad. I'll see how it looks once I've set the car up and driven onto a few petrol station forcourts and encountered some speed bumps! I suppose I want to drop it about 60mm.
  17. Or, get an Audi RS2 intercooler. They're £400 but fantastic quality and can fit on using the std bumper with a bit of chopping.

    Front spoiler

I'm getting some coilovers fitted soon and I think I'll need to get a 50mm spoiler to prevent constant scrubbing at the front. Where can I get one of these and how much are they? Cheers
  19. Also a ported exhaust manifold and stainless downpipe will help enormously.
  20. All of my parts cost me £115 from GSF, arrived yesterday!
  21. I have exactly the same set up as you on a G60 of similar mileage. With mine, the steering becomes vague and the car pitches on high speed corners and seems to "bite" causing the car to swerve. I have already had the rear bushes done with genuine VAG items but the problem was diagnosed by John at JMR as the shocks. They seemed to have lost pressure despite being only a few years old. I also have some poly bushes on the front which have excessive play. I have just ordered (from GSF) new wishbones with bushes ready pressed in, balljoints and drop links and next week I'm ordering some coilovers. Once it's all been fitted I'm going to get it laser aligned and set up properly.
  22. Yup, that's what VAG recommend and it's only about £14 for 5 litres even from the Stealers!
  23. Sounds like the exhaust is very free flowing and perhaps a bit to large bore or with too few silencers. n/a cars always do this is if you have a big bore exhaust. You may even be losing power over a standard system due to lack of back pressure. I doubt if Powerflow set their systems up with pulse tuning in mind to optimise power gain.
