Assuming the engine and (ported?) charger are in good order my first port of call would definitely be an oil cooler. This will pave the way safely for future mods and ensure the reliability of the engine in the future. Next would be to free up the breathing by an exhaust, downpipe and ported manifold. Then sort the induction with a panel filter and funnel some cold air into the airbox by removing the carbon canister and splicing off a cold air feed form the brake duct. Then I'd go down the FMIC route and ensure the management and injectors up up to the increased fuelling required when running a bigger IC.

They look mental but won't the car handle like a bag of spanners with 9 inch rims?
-
Only need two wheel laser alignment, Corrado's aren't adjustable at the back. :)

Incidentally I own two pipes and I'm going to Lingfield Park at the weekend to the races. How geeky is that! And I like ale and hate lager. :drinking:
-
Seems that 3rd Aug and 27th Jul are OK. Gonna see if the gf wants to go!! :D

Well I'm a geek and I came to terms with it ages ago! I was a Saxo geek when I had my VTR and I'm a Corrado geek now. Rather spend money on my car than on fancy shoes and overpriced beer at packed chain-pubs on a Friday night.

I don't think that's typical power given the rolling rd day I went to recently. Usually you need a FMIC to get that sort of power. All engines are different though
-
Don't know how he came up with that? :? Charger porting & rebuild, 68mm pulley and SNS chip is a perfect first upgrade (providing the engine's in a good state)

It's one of my biggest bugbears actually. I hate sitting on the motorway when it's hot and having to have the windows and sunroof open. Hot and quiet or loud and cooler?! My next car WILL have AC. That's what I said last time though! :D
-
If there's less material than a normal disc surely there's less material to dissipate heat and thus the brakes will run hotter? What a load of hog w@nk!
-
I had those ATE discs on my old car and I think they are Powerdiscs? They were fine, no warpage. They worked well with the Red Dot pads I had. http://www.conti-online.com/generator/w ... sc_en.html

That's a lot of power considering the mild mods! (He says green with envy and a failing Lambda probe)

Granted, there are lots of Rage exhaust equipped Civics sporting LED washer jets.

Don't geddit. The Japanese make fantastic cars. Most of them are rear wheel drive too. How many rear wheels drive VW's can you think of? I'd love to have a tuned 200SX slammed on Teins and rolling on 18 inch Advan rims worth more than the car. :)

My mate had somebody take a dump on his windscreen once. In the poshest part of Tunbridge Wells as well.

Pah! You've all got air-con though haven't you in the States?

No, I clean my car far too often for them to get caked, they just take so long to clean! I've ordered one of those brushes from Lakeland and I'll see how that goes. S'pose I should give the wheels a wax. I've got some Turtle Wax wheel wax but sadly finding the 3 hours necessary to do it is a different matter.... Maybe I really should go for some Schmidt Modern Lines
-
Cheers John. I've dropped them an email

What are the possibilities of a forum track day?
-
Might get onto Mr Wintle about the Swissol wheel wax. How long does it last? Applying wheel wax is something which I don't want to have to do very often for the sake of my sanity!!
-
That looks like a good tool. I'll try that! With regrad to the polish it sounds like a great idea but how long would that take! I suppose there's only one way to find out. I think my Pagid pads are quite "dusty" as well which only exacerbates the problem.
-
I takes me as long to clean my wheels as it does to clean the entire car. Are there any special tools out there that really make the process easier or do people use a jet washer? I've got one of those big bristly test tube cleaner-type things but the bristles bend away at the end and reveal the metal wire which could scratch the wheels. Are there any trade secrets out there? It's enough to make me want to buy some Schmidt Modern Lines! :)

Oettinger, those C's look awesome! Is that a Porsche blue on the lower pic? It looks like the colour the Club Sports came in.
