  1. I wonder if it's got a gold leaf-lined engine bay?
  2. I've got it too and I've just fitted new coilovers, wishbones, bushes, and balljoints :( Again, it only happens at low speeds and over large bumps when you feel a knock thro' the steering.
  3. Engine and brakes  Body styling  Bit OTT for me
  4. The ride is fine, I wouldn't want it any higher. I've got a 90mm spoiler as well and it doesn't ground out excessively. :) No rubbing either.
  5. Well, the guys that fitted mine set it to what they thought best i.e. a balanced look without being overly low and the fronts were at their highest! Click on my dubforce link below and you can see. Quite low at the front considering they're on their highest setting.
  6. I'm happy with my Highsports, the ride is fine :)
  7. Car: G60 Exhaust: Miltek with Cat bypass fitted by JMR Opinion: Very solid system, fits well, nice deep exhaust note that is not too noisy on motorway, subtle oval tailpipe, couldn't ask for more!
  8. Pressure bleeding the hydraulics might help. Then if the problem persists you now it's the pads. Hydraulic fluid is hydroscopic so will "go off" after a time as it absorbs moisture.
  9. I've done quite a few hundred miles on my GSF Zimmerman discs with Pagid FR pads with no probs at all. I've also had fitted wishbones, bushes and ball joints from them with no probs? With drilling discs surely you're increasing the discs heat sinking ability, a countersunk hole exposes more metal to the atmosphere than no hole at all? I accept that they are probably unecessary for normal road use though.
  10. Did you try here?: http://www.schaffinoleather.co.uk/html/body_home.html
  11. I've got the set up that RACK describes (Zimmerman discs with Pagid FR pads) and I've got Mk3 GTi rear calipers and it all seems to work well together. I even blagged a 10% discount form the nice man at GSF! It was very reasonably priced. Pics of the discs are on my Dubforce links below.:)
  12. I just looked at your pics when the car was on the Speedlines and I think it's about as perfect as a Corrado can get!
  13. With 16's you can afford to have more tyre wall height making the ride more compliant. I had 17's when I bought my G60 and couldn't bear the harsh ride and tramlining. Riding comfortably on 15's now! :)
  14. Just bought it this lunch time!! pay day :)

    Oil (sorry!)

Try http://www.opieoils.co.uk/lubricants.htm oilman on this forum works at the above place and can sort you out with all your oily needs. I use Sinta Silver from the dealership, only about £14 for 5 litres! Seems fine in my 115,000mile G60.
  16. I use that Muck Off as well, very good on wheels!
  17. Give 16VG60 a pm as he runs a 16v G60 (as you might have gathered!)

    Oil (sorry!)

I see the grand plan now! :) You just want to lift the engine out, rebuild it on your kitchen table and powder coat & polish it!

    Oil (sorry!)

S'pose so. I was dubious of the torque bar test though as it doesn't really reflect the conditions in which the product will operate in the engine. Still, it's quietened down your VR so it can't be doing any harm.

    Oil (sorry!)

I saw that guys at Inters. I wonder what the additive behaves likes after a few thousand miles of heating up and cooling down. Also why don't all the oil manufacturers (within millions of $$ in R&D budgets) already put this additive into their oil? Will it clog oil channels? I'm always a bit dubious of additives of this type.
  21. I also found the insurance for all 4 pot C's very similar. Only the VR causes a massive hike in premium.
  22. Huet Car Audio based in Hove, West Sussex- All staff are very knowledgable and there's not a chav in sight. They stock all BBG distribution products (JL, Phoenix etc) and have a good relationship with JL especially. I went to a forum hosted by Huets with the marketing manager from JL who flew over from Miramar, Florida! I've spend £000's with them now and they really know how to look after their customers. Also, they are approved by the http://www.vsib.co.uk/ whereas GAP "cough w@nkers cough" are not so you can be assured top quality fitting. They've done loads of magazine feature cars, including the Corrado Max Power feature car from a few years ago. Tel: 01273 735700 / 747721 Web: http://www.huetcaraudio.co.uk/
  23. I would definately recommend Huet Car Audio in Hove but it's a bit of a trek (nr Brighton).
