  1. Audi RS2's fit as well behind the std bumper. andy665 had one fitted by 16VG60 (aka JMR)
  2. Neither of mine work and it sailed through its MOT (apart from the seized rear brake caliper :) )
  3. You do get what you pay for with alarm fitters though. Don't use GAP security whatever you do!
  4. They are possibly the most ugly car on the road but dynamically they must be excellent
  5. In terms of millimetres and price! :D
  6. Probably the red ones as advertised by Venom I think? How much are they new? That's always a good indication of quality!
  7. Peter Peter with his SPL meter! He's a really good guy and always sports magnificant drainpipe jeans. I think he always rubs his hands together with glee when I walk in the shop! On a serious note though he really knows how to look after customers. He's invited me to two ICE seminars, one of which was with the JL Audio marketing manager who flew over from Miramar Florida (aka Fightertown USA from Top Gun!).
  8. I can only speak for the 12W7 but it's a great sub and can work in smallish sealed enclosures too. If you didn't want the expense of the 12W7 much of it's technology is carried through to the 12W6v2: http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/12w6v2.html Also, I've heard an 8W7 and despite it's size, when correctly driven it sounds like most 12's do. Also, that works in a 0.875cuft enclosure so won't take up much space. It's an amazing sub. Diamond Audio are also worth a look. I've got a (relatively) cheap 12 inch CM3 12 inch sub which I've been really impressed with and it drops really low even though it's in a 0.7cuft enclosure which is tiny. You're not far away from Huets in Hove so you could listen to a JL and a Diamond sub as they're one of the country's best BBG distribution dealers (JL and Phoenix Gold importers). They've supplied all my kit and did my Corrado install and they're always very knowledgable and professional.
  9. Unfortunately I've only heard negative things about these coilovers. Apparently they give a very harsh ride.
  10. Looks like a really neat job.
  11. Me too. Also, I'm not usually a fan of TSW wheels but those ones suit the 'Rado really well.
  12. I work for Churchill and my only advice would be to phone as many companies as you can. Elephant go for young drivers as do a new Irish entry into the market called Quinn Direct. The best thing to do is try the providers mentioned above and then get a copy of Max Power (I know I know!) and try the companies in the back as they all focus on young drivers with convictions.

    Door closure

My passenger side door won't quite sit flush with the body when it's closed. I assume there's a way to adjust this? Anybody had this problem before? Can you adjust the pin on the body to bring to door in a bit? cheers 8)

    Engine mount

The JMR I have I have improves power transmission and costs only £70 from 16VG60.
  17. Why not get a cam profiled exactly to your needs: http://www.newman-cams.com/ Schrick seem to charge a fortune for their cams Your insurance company would *officially* need to know as it enhances the performance but I doubt that in the event of a potential write-off an insurance assessor is going to take apart the engine, get the cams out and measure their "aftermartketness"! :D

    new hoses

Many of the hoses will be VAG only. Things like fuel hose you can get away with "off the shelf" stuff but most won't be made as a patent part. VAG only which usually means £££. I had a water pipe burst on mine at 113,000 miles (which feeds the head...gulp) so it might be worth getting the full set and replacing the coolant all at the same time. Luckily when mine went I was in traffic and about 150 metres form the garage I used so no head gasket damage but it could have been much worse! I did what gradeAfailure did but I sprayed mine instead of polishing it (lazy). It took a morning and allowed me to get all around the head with degreaser and a toothbrush. (See Dubforce pics below for finished rocker).
  20. Size it up when you get home and see
  21. ..with it's probable Sierra underpinnings! (work won't let me into ebay :()
