How many miles do you think I should be able to get out of a full tank? The car seems to think it's done just under 30mpg since I filled up, and as I said earlier it's given me 330miles so far (and it's a 2.0 16v).

Do C's have a warning llight that comes on when you are in the reserve? I've only filled mine up twice so far since I've had it and I've not let it go into the reserve yet. With my last car, when it first started to drop into the reserve the warning light didn't come on, only came on a bit later and I knew that I could do about another 20 miles safely before filling up. I'm now wondering how far I should let the needle on my C drop before I fill up. I've done about 330miles so far on this tank and it's not quite in the red yet.

Spotted a white C coming out of Safeways/Morrisons in Horndean, Hants yesterday about 4.40pm, I pulled up beside it at the roundabout and tried to attract the drivers attention but not sure if he saw me!

Yellow 'H' Reg in driveway in Chelsea Road, Southsea. Spotted whilst walking the dog!

Thanks, I'm only the third owner from new and it's only done 82k miles. There is however an annoying dent on the drivers side rear wheel arch which I intend having a go at this weekend with one of the Halfords dent improver glue sticks!

Mine is Green Pearl 'J' reg 2.0 16v and I normally drive up the M275 and along, and up the A3(M) to Horndean each day and on my return to Portsmouth I use the Eastern Road. Only had the car almost 3 weeks now.

VR6 South, I will have to keep my eyes out for you as I'm also based in Portsmouth - is that 2 Corrado's you have?

I think you're right about the door pin thing as I'm sure the other day I accidentally locked the car with my remote whilst sitting inside and found that the pin didn't work.
-
My last BMW used to have problems with the central locking, you'd be sitting inside and press down a door pin, the locks would all activate but then straight away all come back up again. At one point it got to the stage when they just wouldn't even stay down/locked but luckily that was the day I had it booked into the garage to have it sorted. But even after it was fixed it would sometimes still happen, was also quite noisy.

My C is Green Pearl with a grey cloth interior and I think it looks good - but then I might be a bit biased. The green does need the sun to look it's best as in more dreary light it can look a bit dull. I would like to change the interior though for leather at some point.
-
Oh ok, guess as long as it works that's the main thing. One thing I do want to do is replace those dreadful door pins - they look so out-dated. Can anyone recommend some good replacements?

Is it normal for the central locking to sound quite feeble and pathetic when it operates? Mine sounds quite pathetic and sluggish and only had the car just over 2 weeks so not sure what to expect. I guess I was expecting it to be quite snappy and positive but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've done a search on here and found quite a few topics on the subject of central locking and therefore I understand that it is pump operated, but would be interested to know how it should be behaving. Is it just a trait of the pump system that means the locks don't snap on and off?

Still couldn't get the grip off myself so asked VW to do it yesterday when my car was in. Apparently they also had great difficulty getting the old grip off too, but they did manage it in the end and certainly charged for it! But at least I'm now all leathered up with my controls. All I need now are leather seats and doorcards - but don't think I'm in a position to splash out on them for some time to come.

and it's more fun to drive and there's a much better following. Nice to have other C drivers waving at you - takes me back to the days of having my pink, white and blue Beetle!

I've only ever had 1 parking ticket for parking on double-yellows in my BMW (was just lucky not to have been caught all the other times!!). Guess it's my partners turn for all that now that he's got my BMW.
-
I find the electric window in my C are very klunky. They seem to work ok, but open and close very abruptly. Maybe it's just how they are, I do have to keep remembering this isn't a BMW (my last 2 cars were) and things will be different.

Passed a blackish looking one (it was wet and getting dark so couldn't tell what the colour really was) 'K' plate with lady driver yesterday just before 4.30pm heading down the A3(M) towards Portsmouth area. Was in my partners BMW (previously my car) on the way to collect my C from garage.

Cheers, thanks for the advice. I'll pop to Halfords tomorrow and see if I can get some.

The side rubbing strip on the drivers side front wing is sort of drooping and I believe they are stuck on with some kind of adhesive. If I pull it off (should I pull it off?) what can I use to stick it back on with? Or will I need to buy a new one from the dealer (if they still do them)?

Oops, my car's at the main dealer today, better double check the invoice when I get it  -
Na, you've got the colour all wrong!

I'm 6'4" and was the first thing I adjusted when I went to look at purchasing my first Corrado 3 weeks ago - couldn't even get in the car without making the necessary adjustments first! However I do find that depending on my hairstyle for the day, it sometimes brushes against the headlining! 6'7" tall Scott? People think I'm tall at 6'4"!
