aside form all the other niggles my g60 seems to have either really bad mpg around 10-15mpg to really good 28-36mpg it has a one of the devils chips (jabba) are they really this bad? also daz said he can send a generic sns chip for my setup all i need do it adjust the co2pot to his given values how would i set the co2 pot up?? do i need a wideband or isit simple like two turns from the left etc?

i think your right the g60 despite its niggly bits is still nicer than any other car ive driven!

if i was to get a vr id have to charge it! ive got til september really then some money becomes available to get a vr or spend a wedge on the g60

Right heres my dilema ive got the g60 c i really like it and my plan is to restore it to mint with sensible oem+ mods obviously thats gonna cost a lot. i want to keep it for a long time and use it at weekends to preserve it when its finished and get a fun daily driver like a boxster or s2000. but ive seen a few storms on the market which ive always hankered after. should i sell the c as it is put some more money in and get a storm to keep, or stick with the g60 which if im honest i prefer the engine and if i buy a mint vr6 i wont be able to give it a personal touch as they are far more desirable as standard. i guess at the minute im just loosing a bit of patience with the g60 as there is so many niggly problems i wonder if ill ever get it to a stage i will be happy with it what would you guys do? im in no rush to finish the car at all. :?

not good if your tall i was cramped at 6ft 3" but what fun like a motor bike engine, push button starts way cool! ive got it in my c! i drove an 05 model and would have one in an instant.

no update yet dude im getting my shocks refurbed this week but im sure yours is just a set up prob most laser places will have the settings im hoping its the shocks as ive done everything else. steve have no idea what sort of lockers they are have three long slots of varying sizes around the edge? ive noticed another steering related noise when i turn the wheel at low speed or stationary it clicks at a certain point and you can feel it through the whell also you feel it when you hold the knuckle on the column are these knuckles servicable? or cheap? looks fairly simple to get out or is it fairly unlikely to be this? its hard to tell where the click is coming from.

ive noticed my nearside shock is pissing out fluid, so im gonna have it refurbed thank god avo are only 20 miles away but lost the damn locking wheel nut key! guess whos going to buy a set of large splined sockets! hope the shock is the cause of this i really do fed up now and want a fmic and sns chip before the respray! the list goes on! still she does look nice in the clear evenings when polished up isnt that the best time to look at a car you cant see the dents or scratches just the shape and the shine!

Firstly, Get a G60!!! only joking i dont think performance wise there is much between them once you have installed a smaller pulley on th supercharger (makes it spin fatser for more boost think bike gears) and a suitable chip in the engine management. the g60 is cheaper to tune generally and is considered to be a bit 'mental'! compared to the other models. its 0-60 times are a few hundreths of a second slower than the vr as its more torquey (the vr). its an 1800cc supercharged engine by the way, superchargers do need a rebuild at around 40,000 costing anything up to £500. the intercooler is like a radiator for air is cools it down as it it passes throughthus making it more dense and so more can fit in the cylinder to make big bang which makes big smile and in turn makes licence full of big points!! hope that gives you an idea basically i reckon that if you do a lot of miles then go for a vr but if like me its not an everyday car just a weapon for when you fancy a blast then a g60 fits the bill!

can you just whip the old one off and fit a new one without having to set the timing again? i take it just remove the plastic cambelt cover?
