Joe M replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
You could paint them green to match the car. -
Should bumpstops be fitted with coilovers, I just put my Konis straight on? :?

Heres a cheaper 180 engine if its still available: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15378

I got mine from TSR for £699 including vat, delivery was another £12.50 on top of that.

Ive never drove a 4wd car, but I know you wont be dissapointed with a Quaife diff. Id get that first and see how you get on.

If its the 8mm allan headed bolts your talking about then hammer a socket onto it, think it was an 18mm that fits but cant remember exactly. Done this on 2 cars now with success.

It was Ron Ashtiani. I remember reading the car was imported originally and the colour wasnt available as standard over here. Was fitted with a VWMS VSR as well.

Could also be the fuel pump relay, they can get sticky and its worse when they warm up.

Count me in as well.

Sorted 8) It seems that when I had the wires connected and there was no resistence where the sender should be it caused the needle to move too much and something popped out of place. I took the clocks out today, moved the needle a bit and felt it click, put the clocks back in the car for a test run and they worked. :D

Ive actually noticed the passive rear steer has returned with the addition of the Eibach arb's ive just had fitted. 8)

No firmer, just more controlled and slightly noisier on certain road surfaces.

Got the performance mods, but where is the performance?!

Or run a couple of cans of 10K boost through it. That stuff works wonders. -
Cool, so its running now?

Harry, The g60 should run fine with the 16v fuel pumps, in fact, the pump would probably be capable of going to a higher bhp rating than the g60 one. The connection on the fuel hose is different however. The 16v uses a sort of solid line with a banjo fitting on the end, the g60 uses standard fuel hose with a clip. This would need to be adapted somehow and the clips would have to be pretty decent to withstand the extra pressure. The extra pressure shouldnt be a problem with running as the fpr will compensate. aposegil, thinking a bit more on your problem, the above test only really shows the wiring is ok between the fuel pump and fuse box. We still dont know if its definately the relay thats the problem or if its not being activated. Try putting a multimeter or test light in where the 2 thinner pins on the relay go and turn the ignition on and see what happens. Should get a voltage for about 2 seconds then drop back to zero, then a voltage when turning the engine over.

afaik only the 16v models run the 2 pump setup. Its more powerful than the vr/g60 setup as the K-Jet system requires a higher fuel pressure from what ive read.

Ah, got it. Chances are then its the gauge thats knackered if it shares power with the rest of the clocks, as there all fine.

The sender is fairly easy to get at, unscrew the cover in the boot, loosen and remove the lockring on the tank (hammer and flat screwdriver) then the cap will lift off allowing access. The sender will have 2 wires on spades on it and it simply unclips from the pump. Still havent had a chance to look at mine, but am I right in thinking the 2 wires from the sender go to the gauge, then there will also be a power lead on the gauge? So I first need to check if im getting power to the sender, if none check if theres power going to the gauge: power to gauge means gauge knackered; no power to gauge means possibly a fuse ill need to find somewhere?

 glad to be of help.
-
Should be, I had to run my car like that though so didn't want the wire to fall back out.
-
Yeah, just stick a bit of wire between the 2 thicker pins and plug it back in.
-
They do sometimes, have you tried bridging the connections to see if the pump comes on?
-
Could it be something to do with the 16v running 2 pumps but the g60 only runs a single, in tank, pump?
