Isnt coolant greasy? I would definately say heater matrix.
-
Is that for an upgraded engine mount or standard?
-
Isnt it the 180sx over there, ours are 1.8 turbos. Nearly got one of these myself, but then started looking at s14's (2.0t). Also looked at bmw 328's, Clio 16v (a few years back) and almost got an Integra Type R instead of my vr6, but the mileage was very high and it was a bit out of reach price wise. Also been tempted by getting finance for an Ibiza Cupra 1.8t, but there were none around when I was looking.

Just close the page that asks for the code then hit "Return to Repair Information".

Anniesland, not too far from me then (Clydebank). What are you driving, may have seen u about. The forum is having an rr day at Star P end of November, its in the site announcements section.

Had a shot of an Esprit V8 Twin Turbo, admitedly only shifting it out of the car park at work so never got out of 1st gear and I stalled it twice. (Very heavy pedals.) Dont know what the new value would have been but the guy had recently bought it for £28k.

Going by the pics I would say its moonlight blue, same as me old c. Very nice colour. 8)

The display on the headunit dims with the music, wouldnt this mean a powercap would be beneficial? :?

I lived with it for 2 years on me old 16v, the only clue I had was an old receipt that said central locking inactive/fuelflap wont open so I assume it was deliberately removed. You could fix the flap and find that it wont unlock as mine did so check this first if you do decide to sort it.
-
I had problems with my 16v and tried 3 ecu's before I got it sorted and there was definately no vacuum line, just one multiplug connector so the ETKA may be wrong in this case, or maybe that was part of my cars problem?
-
The 2.0 16v's dont have a vacuum hose, not sure about 1.8's but I doubt it.
-
If your going ahead with selling them count me in for one, although the wires may need to be a bit longer than yours as I would put it next to my headlight switch due to the heated seat controls taking up the space under the fogs. Very cool and subtle mod. 8)

fao mods: Is it worth amending one of the first posts of this thread saying to go to this page? I know I wouldnt read through all 8 pages if I was new to the site.
-
Dave, you need to look further up this page (8). You will see more info on the new part numbers you posted.

Standard Leon cupra has 180, but Kev mentioned it was a Cupra R wich has the same engines as the S3, either 210 or 225bhp. The leon is also fwd so id imagine it to be a bit quicker than an s3 once moving due to less transmission losses.
-
Have seen 145 in mine with more left to go, ran out of private road.
-
There was a change but it was at some point in '92 so they should be the same.
-
You need to loosen the caliper off and lift it out the way to remove the disk. I think the star shaped bit your talking about may be the splined hub nut thing? Dont need to touch it for the disks if it is.
-
Did you get the ones just under the windscreen in the engine bay? I think there pretty difficult to see and there is 2 of them. (I think).
-
Can you access the plug on it? Its been a few years since I done this but im sure the resistor pack is part of the metal plate that the connector is on. I think it just prises off with a flat blade screwdriver then theres 2 spade connectors connecting that to the motor. Undo them and you have the resistor pack removed.
-
Have you tried removing the resistor pack from the motor with the fan in place? Will most likely be a bit awkward but should be possible. :?
-
mk2 1.8 16v golf manual if there is one, the 9A engine is more or less the same, just larger capacity and a slightly different management system.
-
Ive seen the spec of your car on the Vortex forum, arent you running some crazy gear ratios that makes the car flat out at something like 115 in 5th? Id imagine this makes the wheelspin worse in the lower gears. :?

Heres a pic of the Stroeve filter, they only list it for the 1.8 16v so looks like its no good for the 2.0 16v anyway. (The metering heads are different on both cars). edit: looking at the pic it actually looks like the filter does bolt on to the existing metering head so it probably would work on the 2.0, makes sense as the metering head costs hundreds on its own.
-
Yeah, I knew about the Stroeve one but I think its a complete waste as it still hides the cone filter under the metering head and it has to be restricted in size because of this. The only real reason to buy an induction kit is if you like the looks as the noise and supposed performance advantages can be had for nothing, thats why I didnt mention it.
