Just went to mytyres to order a set of Toyo's and they dont seem to list them anymore. :(

Personally I think im gonnae get hid's at some point, http://www.autolamps-online.com sell kits for under £500 and it sounds like it would be easy enough to change back to original bulbs for mot's.

Hows this connection, Hella originally made the angel eyes and they make the lights for both BMW and VW as far as I know, so ure not really going to another make. 8) Not saying I like them though.

As VR6 says, pretty close to Manchester would be good, dont think id want to travel much further than that though.
-
Cheers mate, I think ure speedo must be wrong though, I would never do such a speed on a public road  , dubster82 does enough of that for all of us

A mini hacksaw blade was the ideal size when I had to remove an old stereo.

biggrim, how did ure pics turn out, I wouldnt mind seeing the one on the motorway if it worked.

Just a thought but if your not bothered about Magnex then Drivers make custom Powerflow exausts, they could make u up a backbox with any tailpipe you want. My cousin got a quote for a full system for his Alfa fitted for £280 which I thought was pretty good.

I was only there for about another 20 minutes or so after you, spoke to Brian (dubster82) for a bit then left. The late spec dash would probably have been more hassle than it was worth as it didnt have the switches an stuff with it. How bad is the lime damage in your paintwork, I didnt get a proper look at it. If it aint too bad and theres no rust that will get worse (I cant remember seeing any) I think I would hold off on the paint and get wheels and exaust first.

The aerial is on, dont think I like it but id be surprised if it lasts a week about here so will be back to standard soon I imagine. How where ure oil temps on the way back? I took a wrong turn and ended up behind loads of traffic going through Lanark, then I ended up on the M8 and there were roadworks :bad-words: Now a question that Roddy might be able to answer, since u didnt ask Grim, what was with all the boxes of eggs in John Kerrs G60.

Another happy customer of Darrens (8vg60) here, got a grill and door pulls well packaged only 2 or 3 days after he recieved my cheque. Grill is top quality Darren and I seen one for sale at Biggar today for quite a bit more than I got it off u for. :D

-
I remember reading somewhere all you need to do is remove the doorcard, then with the window halfway up push the rubber thing back on woth some silicone to secure it. Never got round to trying it on my 16v though, the vr is fine :D

give euro car parts a phone, they usually loads of different plugs in stock or can get them next day. 0141 331 0332, they are just at the start of Maryhill, just up the road from Drivers. http://www.eurocarparts.com

My cousin has an Alfa 156 2.5 V6, also 190bhp standard same as vr6. It was pretty even but he had to change gear earlier each time (6 speed box) so I managed to get away. Had a bike pass me like I was standing still yesterday though.

Nit sure on starting time, im heading over on the Sunday and should be leaving Clydebank about 9 if u wanna meet up.

It is the Scorpion alarm, thing is it was working fine the day before I got my car started, it was a jump start from another car and it didnt havethe power to start. When I got the car started it was with a booster pack so I was hoping it was a fuse or alarm setting or something along them lines. Door panels havent been touched, im not bothered about the key thing to be honest, just want to get the remote working again.
-
Got my vr6 on the road this week, only problem was that the battery had been drained, when I was trying to jump start it I was having a bit of bother with the alarm, it was going and I couldnt get it to switch off straight away until the battery charged up a bit. Once I got the car running it was all fine but now the remote central locking doesnt work. I can still set the alarm but it does nothing to the doors. Using the key in the drivers door doesnt work the central locking, using it in the passenger door it locks everything then it all opens up again. Ive had to resort to leaving the window open and pushing the lock down on the inside to lock everything. I then need to set the alarm to close the window. Any ideas? Is there some sort of procedure for getting everything in synch? Ive tried disconnecting the battery then connecting it again with no success. Also, anyone know how much it costs the get a transponder key reprogrammed.

Cheers Paul, I just need to get it ordered now, im in Clydebank on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Mfa1 resets if the ignition is off for 2 hours or more. MFA2 only resets by the switch.
-
How was the fitting Paul, I need to get one myself.
-
Think ill go with the ECP ones, Autostyle are a bit expensive and I would rather get proper RHD ones. Its only really a drivers side I need as well so if anyones got one going in grey give me a shout.
-
Im needing a new set of mats for the vr6, just had a look on Autostyle and the Diplomats look good but expensive. Anyone know of any similar mats but for a more reasonable price? Alternatively if theres enough people interested in a full set of mats then we could have a possible group buy.
