Lol, I wont argue with you there, its just I promised the other guy at my work that I would work that day so he could go and watch it. Ill be doing a 12.5 hour shift that day. :x
-
Isnt that Celtic v Rangers cup final day? I would have went otherwise.

Spotted one, silver R32 on Great Western Road in Glasgow, was sitting outside a car audio shop where all the Saxo boys usually hang out. At first I thought it was a normal high spec golf till I looked more closely.

After market Exhausts and Lowered C's How to make it work!!
Joe M replied to G60Jet's topic in Engine Bay
I had the opposite problem, Janspeed exaust that sits too high and is practically stuck to the floor of the car. Managed to make up some mounts out of thick conveyer belt rubber stuff and put these over the original mounts to hold it down a bit. Only problem now is the exaust tip is pretty far from the bumper and people are always saying to me they think my exaust is coming off. :x -
Remember that there not completly accurate and are all different, mine was at 98 when i went for my mot and there tester which is more likely to be accurate was at 83. I just use mine as a guide really, if its above 90 the car is warmed up, it has never gone higher than 110 so if it does I will know somethings wrong. g60's are usually higher though I think

Just nearing the 118'000 mark

There are 2 choices for 16's on a C 205/45/16 or 215/40/16, both are pretty much the same diameter as standard so shouldnt affect the speedo. The 215's are harsher though so go with the 205's and take the rough lanes easy and they will be fine.

Companies like Foliatec do spray for the lights, I could name loads of places over here to get it but in the USA I wouldnt have a clue where to look.

163bhp sounds like a lot at the wheels to me, I dont know much about g60's but arent they like 167bhp standard? This suggests to me it has more than an ss exaust in mods, probably the smaller pulley or something which would probably mean the charger has been rebuilt at some point.
-
Since you say the whole car vibrates I would say a problem with the back wheels, probably balancing. When the front wheels are out its usually just the steering that shakes from side to side.
-
Dont CV joints make a sort of ticking when there on the way out?
-
Oops, I meant compared to the rest of the exaust. I know it gets hot but I think its only really the floor of the car above the backbox, nothing that will really matter with the heat I would think. Ill have a better look under the car when the weather improves and try securing the one ive got.
-
The heat shield above my back box is loose and rattling, would it be ok to throw that away, I dont imagine the back box gets that hot that its really required?

Glasgow Donaldsons VW, Yorkhill Quay 0141 339 0077 Very good service and prices, my car dropped a valve and they done a repair and rebuild of the cylinder head for £300. Car now runs better than ever. They seem to know all VW's including Corrados and VR6's well. Highly Recommended

Ive installed and it appears to be ok, however I only get three tabs at the top, Repair Manual, Wiring Diagrams and Search. There is no menu system or anything though and I have to use the search option to find what im looking for. Surely this cant be right so any ideas?
-
You know, ive had a digi camera for months and never taken a pic of my car, sacrilage, now could be the perfect time to get it out. Well, tommorow. While im at it ill get some pics of my abs unit. I think your probably right about the RHD, LHD thing though Roddy.

If the alarm is disarmed and you discard the call on the mobile that is being dialled I think it automatically clears. The problem I mean with the battery is, if it isnt drained and charged properly then the life of the battery can get erratic due to the memory effect. Ive found with my Nokia if I dont drain it properly before charging, sometimes the phone will switch off after only a few hours, switch the phone back on and it shows half full. After draining properly and charging again its fine however.
-
Not yet, ive been trying to get a hold of a cheap Nokia but not very hard as my car was off the road. Its too cold for working on the car now as well so maybe in a few weeks. I didnt realise you didnt have it on your car, have you tried it on any? Do you forsee any problems with the phone battery after a few weeks if the charger is coming on with the ignition all the time?
-
That looks a lot different to mine, mine is at the right hand side of the engine bay and the fluid bottle is over to the left. Maybe its different on older and later cars?
-
Yeh, sorted :D got it all here http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=354

Not seen one yet but seen an Audi RS6 today, very nice but i dont think its worth £60k+

Car back today, everything back to running the way it was before. Cylinder head stripped, repaired put back together with new gaskets and bill came to £300 exactly. There was a few minor probs though. Water light came on 2 miles from garage so I looked under the bonnet and the expansion tank was empty and I noticed a loose pipe at the front of the engine. Got lots of bottles of water and drove back to the garage. It turned out it was just an airlock so no prob there and the pipe was a breather pipe that they had missed putting back in place. No biggy but they apoligized and on the whole I am impressed with the work done at that price and recommend the garage. Donaldsons Motor Company, Yorkhill Quay, Glasgow. Not sure but the car feels more powerful than before, probably just me though as ive had to drive an Almera for the last week and a half.
