  2. i swore at an old codger the other day, he had the cheek to have a go because I was "blocking the junction" - fack off, he had two sherman tanks worth of space behind my car... anyway a volley of yoofful abuse later, he looked away sheepishly. As did I when I realised I was on the phone to my mum (bluetooth headset) at the time...
  3. should think you will be OK just tightening, mine did the same ages ago when I was passing Northampton - I left it til I got to Essex in intermittant rain and all was well :D it was just my passenger side that stopped working tho. Andrew
  4. ah righto, 300 bhp would be enough for me too!
  5. I now prefer the mk5 over the mk4 R32. Interesting that discounts are available, pity I still can't afford it. How much would "cost" be anyway?
  6. take it the pulley will lower the psi, why did you need to do that again...?
  7. i feel a CF meet is a must for this... never seen the group b stuff in real life before
  8. good luck mate what's your plan next once its rattle free?
  9. yeah but lowish engine miles in a car thats done more miles (albeit with a new engine) - not everyones cuppa
  10. aye plus fitting etc, atleast the chains can be donw for x amount rather than worrying about fuuire issues. If you were to change the engine, you'd be not to go 24v - which your talking 3k+ easily. Makes 800 quid easier to swallow!
  11. I've just replaced all my seals on the crank side, think it cost
  12. what you getting done to your valver to make 170 bhp mate? they binning the motronic injection at the same time?
  13. sure there will be some cosworth engines knocking about, depends on them being NA rather than FI
  14. good question, to which I don't know the answer
  15. 290 bhp in the jag and the rado kept up?? erm, how?
  16. good point Jay - hadn't considered that factor
  17. hrrrmmm not heard anything about that. Personally I will do the mkIV upgrade when my MOT is due in March.
  18. May be of interest to some... "It said the system: "is the only hub mounted chassis dyno that actually measures torque, as opposed to calculating (or guessing) figures. For this reason, the Rototest is also the only hub mounted dyno that can be accurately calibrated, in part at least because it's directly bolted to the wheel hub, which eradicates the problem of tyre slip and the associated errors found with 'rolling' roads using either single or twin rollers." Story on Pistonheads
  19. where abouts in the engine is it mate? fair play for being able to that much to your engine too "check things out"!! glad your keeping the rotrex tho, didn't realise! will look up your old thread
  20. thought you may get away with high brightness LED/bulbs to overpower the filter - would be interested to know myself
  21. you could drill vent holes and add some neon strips
  22. dunno the answer but they look tasty! imagine flaring the arches would be best bet? rather than worrying about rubbing against stuff?
  23. would pressure as a result of boost be less due to the extra cylinders "absorbing" it?
