I've done a few Weber/iaw set-ups over the years. Used to get hold of wiring looms of cars Like old Lancias and retro fit them onto mainly corrados and the odd golf 2 valvers I turboed back in the day. I don't see why you couldn't do it using your vr' loom. What your trying to achieve is very similar To a mate of mine who's done the exact same thing using AEM software on his Toyota mr2 turbo, the easy thing being that AEM already sell the adaptor that conveniently plugs into the Toyota's o/e ecu.. Disconnect your loom, isolate inputs such as air temp, crank sensor position, throttle angle sensor, water temp. Sensor for the ecu to calculate the correct mixture, cam position sensor (If present). Get six COP coils off say, a Toyota or Vw and wire in the ignition pick UPS if your engine is running coil pack, if not use the hall sender signal. I make it sound a piece of **** but it is quite involved.. I retrofitted an entire 8 injector Pectel Weber L8 system original fitted on a crashed 4x4 sierra cosworth and used the wiring loom lifted off a Lancis delta evo-1 with twin MAP sensors, all worked fine till around 1.3 Bar turbo pressure, then the Pectel's extra 4 injectors cut in but the engine ran too rich. I say go for it mate and use your loom. Your lucky down in the UK, tuners virtually everywhere, unlike here in Italy where most can't even reprogramme aftermarket stuff.

Two things may have happened, the round bumper locating ring has probably come Out of the locating runner, unbolt the bumper, pull it forward to detach it then check. If the plastic round bit that slides into the runner is ok, just guide it back in and bolt back up. Sometimes the actual bracket itself comes unstuck from the inner bumper and that's a bitch to rectify. I reckon its just slid out of its guide.

Just sent payment through PayPal troy. Let me know, Cheers.

The next time it plays up, get a mate to sit in the driver's seat whilst you, with the bonnet open and ht lead disconnected with a screwdriver wedged inside the lead, see if you get a spark whilst cranking over, Put the screwdriver up against a metal part of the engine first though. Check the spade connectors on the coil, they sometimes get loose. Could also be a dodgy hall sender in the distributor. I don't know how the immobilizer is wired in but you could always try by passing it by connecting a +ive feed directly from the batt's +ive terminal onto the +ive side of the coil, that way you'd also be bypassing the ignition switch too.. Start with the simple stuff first though.

Hi Troy, Not a problem regarding the disk mate, I'll be making up my own AP jobbies with aluminum bells.. As long as the pistons are free and they come complete with the brackets and, ideally, some pads I'll take them. When you've got 5 mins. Spare could you get me a postage cost? That way I'll know how much I need to load Onto my PayPal account. Cheers.

I'll grab these mate, might solve my braking problems With a 15" wheel. In order to keep the postage costs down could you post just the complete calipers with brackets? Just let me know the dimensions of the brake disk. Could you get me a postage quote for sending them here to Rome, Italy? PayPal? Cheers-Andrew.

Strange one this, I've built/sold quite a few pairs to forum members in the past, never had anyone come back complaining.. My headlamps are all lhd, I'm in Italy so obviously.. But were fitted with Uk lenses. I don't see what difference there would be by placing the bulb differently or at a different angle? The glasses are def. Different, ok but I'm not convinced that the reflectors would differ. Of course, I could be wrong but I've opened umpteen headlamps over the past 15 years and never noticed a different bulb angle..still, we'll see..

for sale 1992 VR6 Corrado - Pearl Green
VEEDUBBED replied to cmalyan's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
Oh god, how can i resist this one.. same colour as mine too. When do you think on going to Australia? I really would like this car, it'd solve all my bodywork problems in one go.. My main problem would be driving it back to Rome, Italy.. i've no experience of importing cars from the UK. Give me an idea as to when your gonna leave mate, something like this would take a bit of planning. Cheers-Andrew. -
I've got the two outer halfs of the charger, unfortunatly no displacer.
-
I've got a few mate. Just a quick word of warning though, if you can, try to avoid even breathing near the remaining plastic headlamp adjuster.. as soon as you even sniff on them they crumble to bits.. I've got a set with the original Hella electric beam adjuster motors fitted, no more worries about breaking the adjusters as they also adjust manually too. Send me your email and i'll get you a few photos sent. Cheers-Andrew.
