J reg black G60, fk red/white rear lights, black Team Dynamics wheels, black leather interior parked up in Newquay town centre yesterday (( Tues, 20th Dec )) My wife parked up next to you in a red golf , when we got back to the car the g60 was there with a blonde lady in it, I was gonna knock on the window and say hi but I thought it might freek you out!!!. The car was very dirty but looked very nice (( if not a tad high )) , looked like the guy on here from St Ives? Nice to see a raddo down here anyways, far to much air cooled action here :wink:

I think they are a silly price for VAG if I remember correctly. You're best off trying to get a decent 2nd hand set as alot of people remove them. The one on the door can be tricky to find as they usually get bent when being removed.

2 front wings would be about £70 ish (( £35 each )) I just threw a door in the tip that I couldn't give away, so you shouldn't have to pay much for those either. The clutch slave cylinder isn't much, and easy to fit. Panels for raddo's are really cheap nowadays 2nd hand. Have a look in the "parts for sale" sec.

Did the car come with tax mate? I know he said it had tax on ebay but it actually didn't. Would you consider selling it to someone that would be prepared to fanny it up again for the ammount you paid for it?

He could sell the seats, engine/box, headlights, full dash, few extra easy to take off parts and throw the rest. He'd still have doubled his money, for not too much hassle. Or indeed sell it on with standard seeats to someone willing to tart it back up....there's still a good raise to be made. I was going to sell the seats and put crappy ones in and use it as a DD, he backed out of the sale with me thinking he was going to make a load more on it. Gotta admit it is a shame to see a raddo being broken.

I expect this is the red one from that squaddie on ebay? The seats are worth around £600 -£800 if in good nick if that helps. The engine / box might get you £200 ish, the heads are quite saught after.

The engine bay looks nice.

It doesn't say what sorta MPG it gives though... :-P

Cheers, Yeah I would assume that they are the same, I have a pair from recaro seats and I was going to throw them but I want to make sure that they aren't specific recaro ones before I do.

Can I jump in here aswell please, Doeas anyone know if the plastic covers that clip over the runners are recaro specific?...or do they use the same ones as on standard raddo seats?

All sounds like an electrical problem to me dude. Check all the wires around the battery and behind the fusebox. Apart from the reverse problem, I wouldn't worry about that yet, it sounds like driver error. Wait and see if it happens again.
