yeah, im in two minds with the wheels aswell, but thats the secret behind a good set of wheels to me, they certainly are'nt wheels you'l see on a saxo or clio at a max power cruise!, they stand out alot so i lik em! (( plus the fact that they look like OZ turbos with no rim !))

can i just add onto this badboy. on saturday i drove to corwall in the morning and back home in the night. on the way down in the morning i seldom went over 70mph (( really! )) and my oil temp flickered between 112 and 114. On the return journey i went between 70mph and 80 mph all the way (( never going above 80mph )) and the oil sat between 114 and 116 the whole way, i even saw 118 for a short while. A. do these temps sound high considering the fact that i was driving pretty lowly and at 3000rpm? B. why was the oil running hotter on the return journey when the outside temp would have been lower and i wasnt going that much faster than on the way down. C. whats the cheapest way of getting the temps down?...aparently dinkus's vr6 sits at 94 if hes doing 80mph, so even if the car can run that hot id prefer it not to!. cheers

yeah..im in the same position with my suspenders...i want to change everything (( i.e top mounts, bushes etc )) that is worth changing so a comprehensive list would be good!. when i bought my car i changed the exhaust and longlife discovered that the lambda wasnt plugged in when i took it there, the leads were all frayed (sp). the car was running suprisingly well, much to the suprise of the longlife fitter!. still havent worked out why though....

yeah...thought it might have the idle sorted by the ECU....could this maybe be the fault?.

on every other 8v engine ive seen you can see the ISV sitting ontop of the rocker cover...but on the ADY its not there....i had very little problems with the car when i owned it so never found out why?....could it be something to do with the ISV?>:

cheers RW1, ive got no access to VAG-COM, i dont think the battery was disconnected before...but apparently a couple of weeks ago she got in and tried to start it and theres was nothing...this happened 5-6 times untill eventuually it started like normal... :?

sorry...maybe i should explain better. when you start the car, the revs build up to 2000rpm on their own..(( i.e without the driver touching the accelerator )) and then it cuts out. its an ADY engine, im not sure if that makes a difference too.

i got charged £40 to do both sides on all pannels ((exceldent))...i had about 4-5 dinks taken out for that.

ive had a letter from the bank. The cheque has bounced..the reason given is that it was stolen.

hmmmmm...... ...could be the culprit then...i didnt realise the timing would effect the charger's running. :confused4:
