were you a named driver 2 years ago tho?????........if you had your own policy 2 years ago........you can still count the NCB that you had then.......... thats what me and the missus used to do, take it in turns to be the policy-holder (when we only had the one car) to save either of us losing our NCB......IIRC you only lose your NCB/NCD if you have'nt been a policyholder for more than 2 years

thats why i mentioned in my post about *them* having same boxes  as for 244bhp........its also about torque too...........his 244bhp also has 200lb/ft......so really his is all top end

early 1.8 valvers..........but tbh.......the TV companies are bad for doing things out of synch...........ive seen Ford Cortina's in adverts etc with E-reg plates on them

Hmmmn, interesting concept but I beg to differ. My G60 has 244.5 BHP at the flywheel and is considerably quicker than a VR6 C and that was when it had 9 x 16" wheels on :). Also seem to remember that when my G60 had only 200 BHP it went up against a 195 BHP ish (?) VR6 C on the dual carriageway and was a good deal quicker (correct me if I'm wrong here) (as well as the small matter of beating a Fiat Coupe 20v turbo [220 BHP as standard] at Crail Raceway when it was run up the quarter mile) :-P Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60 it depends on which C VR6 it is that you've put it up against...............mine prior to getting the schrick fitted has beaten pretty easily a hi-mile C VR6 that tried it on......and mine has had some pretty "low" RR figures in the past........doesnt make mine the ultimate VR tho...........as for when your's had "only" 200bhp......it also still produced more torque that what it does now........from what i heard from a certain Golf VR owner your 244bhp G60 wasn't pulling away from him if at all in one of your recent races  at the end of the day it all depends on the driver................200bhp G60 v 200bhp VR(same box ratios etc).........it'll be down to which driver is the more "committed" and whoever gets the start

It was her car.... a rare one too... black 2.0 8v with no sunroof, manual windows on an L plate.... Sheesh, I need to get out more!   ahhhh but IIRC the 8 valve C wasn't for sale til autumn/winter 94......so M-plate.....and ALL 8valvers had E/W as standard  ......guess who needs to get out more than you :?:

then again my friendly $tealer charges an extortionate £55-ish per hour    .............which funnily enough when compared with what one Ford main $tealer in London charges is roughly half his price       -

star-performance are only £35 per hour IIRC and they are probably one of the best VW specialists in Scotland -

- Supply and fit GMAX suspension kit (kit cost about £240)..................3-4hours - Supply and fit top suspension strut mounts (inc. bearings) front (both sides)1-2 hours - Supply and fit rear upper and lower shock mounts (both sides) 1-2hours - Supply and fit 6 NGK spark plugs.............................30mins tops - Supply and fit new front disks and pads.................surely 30 mins tops per side - Full service...........so oil+filter and checks round car.........1hour tops so by my reckoning............10 hours tops and i would reckon maybe under 1hour for the geometry being done -
na i think its cos as someone else put it in another thread......"we're all having champagne lifestyles with lemonade wages" :-P    ...............

ahhhh.....but what *if* the G60 also has a diff and is also well-driven????? ......at the end of the day its all down to the driver
-
no.....its more towards the g/box side of the engine
-
i'm happy to call it a draw
-
thermostat housings are notorious for leaking too

£40-ish +VAT  ...........worth it though as they should be able to set up yer KR a treat
-
well if you can and of course if you want to  ........scan in the wording to your insurance policy(obviously hide yer relevant details)...........somehow i cant see you be able to be "covered" as i'm 99.9% sure its not just an insurance requirement but a LEGAL requirement that any car driven on the "queen's" highway has to have an existing insurance policy in effect....for that actual vehicle............the only way round this AFAIK is the use of Trade plates by garages and traders
-
just corrected that for you 16VG60  :D :D :D

Corrado Air con systems. Just how good are they?
vr6storm replied to Rawhide's topic in General Car Chat
its just that most of the older cars ive been in with A/C as opposed to climate don't seem to give the chillier enviroment........or of course its more than likely the gas is needing re-charging.......
