Having so many sticky topics kills discussion in this forum
vr6storm replied to spoier's topic in Suppliers Forum
well everyone is entitiled to their opinion............however if you're meaning in this section ie "servicing & suppliers"............please bear in mind that 5 of the stickies refer to various locations for servicing in the UK.......and rather than just post up 1 sticky it makes it easier to post the different geographical locations.....in the UK admitedly.........for ease of use......but i can't see how its killing conversation discussion on here in fact i've noticed the forum has never been so busy as of late  -
the window switch is nothing like the Mk3 Golf's btw.......as for Mk2 seats these will sit a bit too high......i think you can use scirrocco seats instead tho
-
if they're the non-platinum NGK's.........then ideally these should be replaced every 20k miles......platinum ones are 40k intervals
-
i assume you mean petrol cap-flap????.............if you are i reckon cheesy's yer most likely candidate
-
in fact here is the link to it http://www.carsfromitaly.com/lancia/index.html
-
na mate this was the S4 or similar. :? :? ........t'was in the mid-80's prior to the original 8v integrale
-
....and pretty sure one of the italian marques(lancia i think) had a supercharger/turbocharger combo on a rally car.........think it was lancia's ill-fated gruppe-B one IIRC
-
ahhhh but given that the only TT-comp(not sure if they're available tbh) wheels available in 4-stud are really replica's........would they actually weigh the same????

errr pin-sized hole in the CV-boot perhaps :?  Ohh ok that would make sense... I was like how does he know there's a hole in a pin? Where is the pin in the CV boot? nowww I gettit. Guess I need a new CV boot as well then... As my yokel stealer (Vindis) is listed on the VW Parts Club, does that mean I can wave my CCGB membership card and get the parts at the rate quoted on those parts club docs? yeah thought you'd just read it quickly and not understood it properly  as for the parts club discount...............VWCCGB no longer get this perk......you should still get a 10% discount from them if you show your CCGB card......but there's no harm in trying to get the parts club prices too.......good-luck anyway

Your Insurance Cost For Your Corrado
vr6storm replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in General Car Chat
you think thats a bad XS.........well my missus is getting her new Ford SportKA this tuesday and Ford are doing free Insurance with them as a promo.........bearing in mind its only a group 6E car the insurance company have a £650 XS      .......i don't even pay that as a premium on my group 19 storm   -
http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ht=#108462 phat's nice'n'shiny tensioners
-
or how about the TVR push-buttons on the mirrors
-
serpentine belt is approx £25.........and i think phatVR6 is selling nice'n'shiny tensioners too...........with your existing one in exchange
-
na sorry ain't got a part number.......but don't bank on it being cheaper from Ford........its only cos Ford will sell you the breather valve separate (as mike edwards has mentioned previously)
-
the blue temp sensor is just under a tenner........and i'm pretty sure they just give up the ghost as opposed to being/having a loose connection..........the sensors are on the front of the engine to the right hand side of teh block as you look at it...........they'll either be hidden by a plastic cover or you'll see a row of 3 sets of wires going into 3 plug-type looking things(tech term......honest  ) and they should be colour coded too
-
ahh but you see if the blue temp sensor goes.....it won't affect the guage at all.......thats covered by the black or yellow one  check out this wee bit of info from dazzy http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 784#120784

the Serpentine belt is approx £25 from the $tealers.............meant to be changed at 60k miles or whenever it starts to crack etc.........tho dunno if you'll need a different one for your A/C.....can't see it tbh as the A/C isn't factory-fitted,but best check
-
i'll move this to "tuning and mods" ..................better suited to there than "event announcements"
-
apart from not having leather......that's a fair better spec than a storm  :D :D :D .............looks a good'un matey  8)
-
or if it seems a bit lumpy when it catches like missing a cylinder.......it could well be the coolant temp sender is goosed
-

-
