  1. been listening to the New Order retro box set in my changer all of this year so far.......absolute quality 8) :D :D :D
  2. this seems more appropriate in the "general car chat" thread  anyway clutches are a wear and tear item so it all really depends on how they have been driven.....i know for example Joe M has just replaced his after over 100k miles on its original clutch, radiators can also go thru age afterall if its a 94 reg'd Corrado its still 8 years + and it all depends on whether previous owners have changed the coolant regularly too........HT leads also age and considering the VR engine bay is quite a hostile enviroment(fairly hot) then these will more than likely go through age rather than miles

    G60 Interiors

pretty sure you just get them in grey and also beige
  4. .......found my storm 128 miles away from me IIRC  ......like other have said don't limit yourself to just local ones...........also with the forum we must have the bulk of the Country(UK) covered.......i'll easily go out and have a look at any you find local to me and give you an un-biased view on it.....i'm sure everyone else would too
  5. US spec Corrado's wear the same rear Corrado badge as their european/RoW counterparts   ......the one on e-bay although maybe sourced in the USA is in fact non-original and is sometimes referred to as a Porsche script badge......like Henny says trimsport might be worth trying though if you do a search on e-bay you'll find another one for much less.......well just now it is   the only US-model difference badgewise on VR Corrado's anyway is the SLC logo
  6. yeah it looks like and Allegro, maybe you know who will buy one PMSL oi dont dis the Allegro!!!!! :-P    of course with your HUGE payrise you could always make a donation to Andi's recent bandwidth bill  :-P
  7. nice interior combo.......the cream/beige leather really goes well with the black carpets etc........though whats with the "porsche" glovebox  :-P :-P :-P

    Storm Recaros?

to be honest much as the recaro's look well sweet.......ive found that the standard VW sports seats hold you in a bit tighter
  9. my storm has always had a bit of mayo under the filler cap since ive owned it  .......as most of my journeys are relatively short(10-15mins) so the condensation never gets enough time(or heat) to dissapate..........if it is the H/gasket then after longer journeys i would assume it would still be there.......mine dissapears if i take it out for a burn on the dual carriageways or if i'm driving for more than 10-15mins in town.........i too was really really concerned when i first noticed this but i would imagine that it is more probably just condensation.......best get it proffesionally checked to be on the safe side though although it maybe sounds suspicious with the vendor "warming it up" first......TBH if i had to move my motor from cold i would leave it running til the engine warmed up..........just something i've always done with my cars since 1990

    RX7

*cough* RO80 *cough* /anorak mode     ......totally right Henny

    RX7

close........NSU had the R80 in the late 60's early 70's with a "wankel" engine...........NSU eventually became audi........but IIRC mazda have had wankel engines on the go for a lot longer than the RX7 has been out.......in fact i'm pretty sure from the early 60's mazda had a rotary engined motor
  13. how the hell do you get that low????.........thats the sort of figures my old 2.8i XR4 used to acheive.......i haven't had under 20mpg from town driving my storm
  14. Never, ever ask a dealer how much a parcel shelf is unless you're either high, or just after a laugh...   .......or better still.....get them to quote the price on 1 recaro seat for a C
  15. of course you could try looking in yer Lindsey Porter book(s) :-P   .......seriously i think you've hit the nail on the head grim.......no 747's going about either
  16. well the Halfords in Torry didn't have any........dunno about the Kittybrewster one......but imagine it would be the same as Torry
  17. looks well coo 8) l......nice and subtle.......just the way they suit 8) ......really shows how great a wheel design the O/E speedlines are too
  18. Serpintine belt meant to be changed approx 60k miles,Brake fluid is bi-annually,coolant also bi-annually......thats all i can think of that sometimes gets overlooked
  19. also the VR's have the plus suspension of the "performance" Mk3 Golfs..........as Hammond from TG said........."it was a bit of a mongrel" can "just" see what ppl are meaning with the Leon..........but lets face it the way VW are trying to move up a rung in the prestige sales market.......and IIRC they are making no secret of the fact SEAT will be the Sporty-side of their Group the Corrado replacement will more than likely be wearing a SEAT badge

    VR6 Problems

i was also told by someone very well informed that its only when ppl with the K&N panel filter go OTT with re-oiling it and not letting the oil soak in long enough that can cause the MAF problems............. and mine is exactly the same when i disconnect the MAF and reconnect it......just the slightest of judder then back to normal :? ..........though i dont appear to have had any rough runnign issues :?
  21. .............of course you could negotiate a Corrado-Forum Group buy 8)
  22. it was GPC that were selling them IIRC
  23. IIRC there's only a few ppl on here who have had the old skyrocket...............campaign on this forum i know has a mk2 storm and i'm sure he has had it for a fair old time........he would i imagine be your best bet for hints and tips.......also try the scirocco register as that IIRC is run by a guy near edinburgh
  24. sorry jamie......wasn't specifically "naming and shaming" you
  25. right roy......the later spec indicators are £19 ea from GPC in luton.....so i would imagine the early ones being the same or cheaper............as for the foglights again the later ones are approx £60-ish ea from VW and maybe a wee bit cheaper from GPC..........if you can hang fire til the summer i'm sure someone from up this way can get you them from Inters as they normally are VAT-free then  ................not 100% sure if i'm going this year but if i do......i'll add that to the shopping list :-P
