i recently(as in last week) bought a 94L VR with 148k in rude health(service history til 2001/106k miles but obviously well looked after) and with Beige leather for well well under £3k last week from a used car dealer...........only 4 previous owners too......£3+K seems a bit pricey given its miles lack of leather IMHO
-
thats just condensation mate............Dinkus means a puff when you start it up
-
Roughly how many miles should i get to half a tank in my VR?
vr6storm replied to -Neil-'s topic in General Car Chat
it certainly wouldn't have come out the factory with the smaller tank...ALL C VR's have 70l/15gal tanks -
A3/S3/TT are all 5x100 pcd so will fit straight on A4/A6/A8 are all 5x112 pcd so won't fit straight on
-
nope PCD is 5x112 on the A6 and 5x100 on yer Golf
-
so do I
-
you have to follow the link to post it for sale,it then goes in a Q and the mods post it up for you....by puttng a price on your post it looks like your trying to circumvent the rules, thats all btw if you are looking for feedback on its look.........might be an idea to pop it into a Members gallery thread instead of general car chat btw where in Aberdeen you based??.........can't say ive seen it going about going by the houses..........Dyce perhaps???
-
very nice but you need to go through the proper section for selling it
-
plastic tabs at the top and bottom of the handle at the end nearest the lever need to be prised apart and the handle should slip off
-
Standard speedline alloys, referb or buy 17s?
vr6storm replied to -Neil-'s topic in General Car Chat
keep the speedies..............one of the best looking std fit wheels of all time IMHO -
with that much greenery its looking more apt for Springtime than Autumn/Winter time still a cracking looking C all the same
-
these any further on coming up for sale???
-
should have said...........they are aftermarket recaro's from the mid-late 80's early -mid 90's when all Mercs had the switches on the door cards..........newer Mercs probably/do have the switches on the seat right enough
-
they'll still be aftermarket recaro's tho..........even if they were sourced from a SL.........Mercs have the electric adj switches in the doorcards,Asim has a set of very similiar electric adjustable Recaro's in his mk1
-
think yer ins co might be a bit concerned about you going for tyres that aren't rated for the potential top speed of your car, regardless whether you can't legally go over 70mph.......besides Ive found V-rated tyres for the std wheels to be very reasonably priced
-
ive got an early pass side wing(just scratches and 2-3 v v small bubbles for £30+ delivery)

RIP :( sorry to hear of you and your family's loss -
Is your Corrado your "best" car, or your runabout?
vr6storm replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
my 993 is my best car so to speak and my Corrado is meant t be the daily hack, tho find myself drivng the 993 more than the Corrado, tho was driving it yesterday and thought to myself there's no way I could ever sell this, had it for over 5yrs now and prior to that the longest I kept a car was 2 1/2 years -
yes ,my mate did it for me,the only damage being a very minor rip beside the end of a screw hole............tho I seem to remember there being a hidden screw at the speaker also.

-
sounds like its the latch mech............mine did it a few months ago.........new latch time and if you are mega careful you can get the card off with very minimal damage
-
why would you want modded ones tho??
-
no................indicators are only £19ea from GPC.............fogs are the expensive bits tho
-
its not about BHP with the Schrick..............its more torque further down the rev-range............makes it a lot nicer to drive too,the only downsides to them are that chargers aint that much more expensive,as its near enough essential to fit an uprated engine mount while doing the Schrick tbh your cheapest way of getting sightly more pwer from the existing mods you have is go for a re-chip/re-map

FWIW 21mpg round town is not too bad for a VR btw
