Buying advise for a Scooby (Impreza) around
vr6storm replied to corradophil's topic in General Car Chat
Q here why do ppl refer to the 2dr Coupe as being a 3door.........fair enuff the C is a 3 door coupe but thats basically cos its a coupe/hatch.......whereas the Scooby other than s/w is a saloon or 2 dr saloon/coupe???..........its a small thing i know but its quite bemusing to me -
not the point i was trying to make...........what i mean is the 350Z AFAIK is not a platfrom car........the same way an audi TT is really a mk4 golf based car and the rest are probably utilising a common floorpan
-
the Corrado is basically a Passat/mk2 Golf hybrid coupe, whereas the 350Z is a ground up Sports car,my 993 is practically the same dimensions as the Corrado, yet you wouldn't compare them like for like would you
-
so a RWD 2 seater sportscar is the same as a FWD 2+2 Sports coupe????
-
the 350Z is a great car, however its also a bit larger than the Corrado which is why its not an ideal car to compare as a modern day Corrado rival
-
happy b/day!!!.....you happen to share it with the missus......shhhhhhh she's 36 today so keep it quiet
-
think they are illegal not to mention blinding!!!

just had another look and theres a fargin dent at the trailing edge of the arch
-
and of course you get the peeps who think your on main beam when your not
-
the GPC price was VAT free too as i think VW want £45+VAT per side......tho obviously if you buy them from GPC other than at a show its also +VAT
-
..............and the performance is night and day btw
-
got their H1 kit in my 993............simple to fit and looks factory........the only prob might be the legality of them on the C but then again its only new cars that have to have the automatic leveling and H/L wash.....i thought i'd chance it with my 993 as its got H/L washers and manual(from in the cabin) headlight adjustment

.........on a Corrado forum???? -
ritmo was the RoW name for the Strada.......only approx 700 of them imported to the UK between 84 and 78/88.......130bhp from a 2L twin cam on carbs........o-60 was under 8secs and onto approx 125mph........impressive figures for 20-odd years ago
-
please please please tell me it was a FIAT strada Abarth...............ive always hankered after one of them 8)
-
that would be the plan m8 :) anyone breakin a rado that wouldn't mind choppin the rear arches out for me? got a decent NSR arch on the Corrado I'm breaking..............would be willing to cut it out for you  ,the OSR arch is buggered tho
-
the thing that spoils the Calibra so much is the fact due to them hittign the bottom of their market they are available to ppl who'll bling them up with stuff that totally makes them look crap and chavvy............i remember when they launched the calibra it was awesome as it was totally fresh looking(bar the interior that is)
-
easily the Alfa GTV and FIAT coupe..............even the Calibra could well have a resurgence........there was a time i remember the Capri being totally uncool to have one yet they are starting to get scarcer and scarcer and in turn more desirable to ppl............don't fall into the trap cos top gear says somethings cool it means it is...........that very same episode they had the Merc 190E Cosworth on they said go for the 2.5 16v whereas everyonein the know, knows that the 2.3 16v is the one that actually has the Cosworth made head and the 2.5 is just the Cosworth designed head so therefore will be the more collectable
-
too big..............the Corrado is a compact Sports coupe
-
hold the bus here.............i love my C i really do but don't fall into the trap of the Corrado is THE best car ever, the Corrado looks dated to fans of the other cars we are mentioning here as looking dated and crap.........if anything thats stood the test of time i'd say its the Alfa GTV thats just been replaced as that still looks fresh as the day it was launched
-
one less spoke to clean
-
yer having a laugh there    350Z is a Sportscar whereas the Corrado is nothing more than a sports coupe...............big difference there IMHO
