that interior is whats known as "petrol" cloth...........anyway you could try mj interiors in shipley nr Bradford........he should be able to fix it or supply you with the cloth :wink:

if you overfilled it with oil the smoke would be a hazy blue

do a search on bare metal resprays first............mixed opinion on the worth of doing it........a good quality windows out respray might be better and of course cheaper

plumes of white thick smoke from exhaust(not condensation)..........missfires etc.........i wouldn't say its a common thing but then again the youngest 1.8 16v is gonna be 14yo

never owned a G60,but have driven a couple in the past modded and unmodded ones too..............anyway i prefer the VR6 :wink: thats not to say the G60 is rubbish or inferior but i find the VR more refined and the G60 more the point and squirt car........depends what you want from a car at the end of the day :wink:

whats to say that its not yer missus's motors speedo not reading true either tho??.........ive found the MFA's speed to be reasonably acurate(measured with a mates GPS)..........tho you have to have a nice long straight for it to work

just a thought ive got all the glass off the Corrado i'm breaking,i can do you a good deal,as some of the glass is scratched.........windscreen has a minor crack too,but its all intact

i think your glass might come under yer windscreen cover,which btw doesn't affect no-claims.........tho as they'll have to repair the rest of the car as malicous damage they'll probabaly lump it all in..........put it this way unless yer XS is £0000's then its probably best to claim...........tho they might just write-off your car as you say..........bad sh!t whatever way you look at it........feel for ya matey

its all good now.........cheers for the advice/help............anyway it was the latch,mate managed to get the door card off with v v v minimal damage to it,had ordered a new latch at any rate and mate fitted it and its back to normal service

if its been serviced by VW all its life you just need toi call VW customer services quoting its reg number and they should be able to tell you when it was last serviced

no worries............saves getting the angle grinder out for the rear panel

i don't think its the handle as such..........as i cant get the door open from inside or outside

autocar also mentioned it was going to be built in portugal

right for the past 2-3 months my pass.side door hasn't been able to open from inside or outside,what happens is when the remote or key is used the rest of the doors open and the pass.door stays shut however the door knob on the pass.side rises as normal but then falls down a little bit more........ive checked it with another C/L pump and it still does the same would i be right in thinking its the latch itself???? or is it likely to be anything else............if it is the latch..........how am i likely to get the door card off to get to it(is there a way of minimizing the damage???) any help appreaciated

somehow i can't see them managing to just take the clearcoat off without damaging the base coat...........if that was the case then instead of them re-painting a panel or car if the laquer is lifting which happens eventually they'd only have to re-laquer

btw sell the parcel shelf separate

i didn't have any bites for the seats/door cards that i have for sale at £150(near mint cond btw) until after i'd split it(2 seats only) so i'm probably going to sell the rest on the bay
