  1. I hear you can use a search thingymajig too
  2. IIRC the hi-fi's were dealer fit,so dependant on what the dealers had, from memory it was SONY(with VW branding) and BLAUPUNKT that were used
  3. yeah,its water-cooled and mass-produced compared to the previous air-cooled 911's
  4. £400 seems rather steep tor b0th wings doesnt it? i think my whole front bumper will need sprayed cos the missus miss understood when i said 'park the car in the garage'. i obviously needed to explain that the usual method is to drive it into the open space and not the wall....! its just a graze on one corner.... still not ideal tho!!!lol! something like that can easily be fixed by a chipsaway guy,in fact one of the guys on Eastside VW has a franchise and his work is pretty spot on too, used him for both my 911 and E-class here's his contact details Mike Davidson 07894128525
  5. Jim please please please DO NOT put it in for a service at the Main dealer, regardless of how good they were to your small problem, they will bend you over a fair bit,my W211 E-280 CDi has been in my local Merc dealer 3 times for a service(joys of being a Taxi-driver now) and over 8months/42k miles I have spent £2k+ the cheapest service has been £500,always been quoted less when booking it in too but it has needed brake discs twice, once they even tried to tell me that they were corroded, which considering they had replaced the front brake discs just 25k miles previous and the car is used 6 out of 7 days per week would seem a bit strange, thankfully Mercedes paid 75% on a goodwill basis, but they should have known they were recently replaced btw good choice with the W124 possibly the best built E-class,the missus's Dad had a K-plate 300D auto in the mid-90's and even with only 113bhp it was a great relaxed cruiser
  6. mine are Alfa Romeo 3.0 V6 GTV Audi Ur-quattro 20v Austin Allegro(yes really really have a soft spot for these bangers!! :luvlove:  :cuckoo:  ) BMW E-30 M3 Evo BMW M635CSi Fiat Strada 130TC Abarth Ford Fiesta supersport Ford Escort XR3 Ford Escort RS Turbo Series 1 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Monte Ford RS200 Lancia Delta Integrale Mercedes 190E 2.5 16v Evo 2 Mercedes 560 SECC Nissan Sunny GTi-R Nissan Skyline R32 GTR Opel Manta A Opel Monza GS/E Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI Rover P5B coupe Porsche 924 Carrera GT Porsche 959 Porsche Speedster Porsche 928 GTS Porsche 993 Twin Turbo Porsche 993 GT2 Porsche GT1 Vauxhall Astra GT/E mk1 Vauxhall Nova Sport VW Golf mk1 GTI VW Scirocco Mk1 Storm VW Corrado VR6 Storm
  7. no such thing as 944 Cup 1's Struan, the Cups were introduced ell after 944 production ceased,if you look on here http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?urlt ... ichte.html this shows you all the genuine Porsche wheel info you'll ever need, also you will notice the part numbers refer to the chassis and although there is the 16 inch narrow spoke cup wheel with a 944 part number this is actually for the 968 and as the 968 is basically a 944 chassis thats why it has the 944 part no,so this leads to confusion
  8. if they are 17s they will be reps as the real deal are 18s
  9. same sort of sump as fitted to the VW-van/Audi 100 engined Porsche 924 btw those wheels were also fitted to the early non-quattro Coupes
  10. check out wiki " In 1983 the 80 Sport was introduced in the UK, based on the GTE. It came with quattro-style Ronal alloys, rubber rear spoiler, deep chin spoiler, striped charcoal Recaro interior, and optional body graphics including full-length Audi Sport stripes" also explains about the body difference too btw http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_80#Au ... 80.9386.29 I remember when they were first out and them being a grown-up saloon alternative to the GTI
  11. they weren't all that rare back in the day tbh, they weren't rally reps or anything like that just basically a sporting 80 with that new fangled injection gubbins  the reason behind the body difference is purely down to the CL being the slightly facelifted 80 prior to the new 80 coming out in 86/87 still a good find all the same
  12. quick Question why have you've put Fire and Ice badges on a Corrado???????? :cuckoo:
  13. that a totally new as yet to be released 911 variant then?
  14. btw the song title is "Turning Japanese" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpCcelpvkps and keep the C ffs!!!
  15. funnily enough us "Scotts" are subject to these same ideas even tho we have our own Scottish Parliament.............also I didn't realise you needed to be English to be the BRITISH prime minister
  16. not the wisest of moves in this economic climate............more chance of getting your fingers burned with this credit crunch
  17. keep your Audi! worst reason ever for buying a Corrado
  18. it'll have the same RFL as any Corrado btw
  19. unless you are getting this as near FOC from you know who :norty: best get one that hasn't got a screwed engine, regardless of how low miles it is.............its still at least a 13yo car so stuff will still wear out, more so with lack of use
  20. well tbh compare it to the original skyrocket in some of your points :dorky: a)Rocco has also always been a hatch albeit a Sporthatch b)dash and s/wheel were IIRC the same on the mk1 Golf and Skyrocket tho the Rocco was out first c)no astra around back in the early 70's d)I'd say the GTI lump is decent enough and the twin charger one will be in soon(remember the mk1 Rocco and Golf shared the same engines too) e)its a Sports coupe/hatch practicality isn't top of the list afterall f)mk1 Rocco and mk1 Golf shared the same seats too IIRC
  21. chrome Corrado badge from memory was later than the facelift,if you have the rotary heater conrols you'll have late spec interior, also 93 will be K or L plate unless you have a J-reg p/p mechanically tho you'll either have dizzy or coilpack
  22. 16 inch teledials were really only factory-fitted to pre and post abs equipped 944 Turbo's btw ,so going by this guide, which also tells you the part number http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?urlt ... ichte.html I would say the pre-abs equipped 944 Turbo offsets would be 23 f/r and abs equipped ones would be 52 f/r
