    mine has been the same for the past month or 2 and someone has also reckoned on not enough vacuum...........ive got a spare CL pump so i'll give it a try tomorrow and keep ya posted.....tho i reckon its actually my latch has siezed but no idea tbh

    ford KA 33mpg easy round town group 2 insurance,old so proven mechanicals and nice handling in a still fresh-ish design

    tbh the VR6 is best with NGK's as most of the others can't cope with the heat generated by the engine............as for gaps......you need a feeler guage.......tho most plugs should be pre-gapped

    what plugs are you using? did you check that the gaps were ok? is it deffo a missfire or is the engine cutting out for a split second?

    mine went but it turned out to be a faulty schrick controller..........if you have a schrick then get an auto sparky to disconnect the schrick controller........then it should work...............if you don't have a schrick then i'd get him to check the ECU feed to the rev counter,then the rev counter itself.........if it turns out to be a faulty inst PCB then budget on £300-odd +VAT for that alone

    i'd hardly say they were slating them..............as for the 2.8-2.9 being a bad idea.........i think they mean its more likely to cause a problem if the cooling system isn't up to scratch timing chain is meant to last the life of the car............some err on the side of safety and replace it but plenty others have well over 100k on the original chain

    i think plats are good for 40k miles and the iridium's are good for longer

    they all do..................well all the endura E's not surprisingly as the basic engine has its roots from the early 60's................the engine in the SportKa/Streetka is a bit sweeter but still can sound hoarse at its limit..............bear in mind too that the basic models have just over 60bhp.......drive a VAG car with that sort of power and it is deathly slow compared to the basic Ka's

    you'll find the Ka a surprisingly nippy and good handling shopping trolley..........as for a 15yo design.........its not really based on the mk3 Fiesta(other than the 1.3 engine) its based on the mk4 Fiesta which was a lot better a base than the mk3...............me and the missus have had 3 in total from 1997 to date we have only had 2 years without a Ka

    well considering the SportKa/StreetKa only have 94bhp and a lot less torque than yer "lowly" 115PD.........of course you should show it a clean pair of heels :twisted:

    Hmm, didnt read that properly. And as I understand it the tax exemption law for cars over 25 years is allowed anymore.. the over 25yo car tax exemption was stopped when labour came into power btw.......... :roll:
