there has to have been more than a handful of nugget G60's,we are speaking about a production run of almost 2yrs in RHD form(late 90-mid92)........and also yellow was becoming fashionable on cars again round that era,are ppl maybe not getting mixed up with the figures of perhaps its last few months of production here :?:

yellow IIRC is for the instrument guage, black is for the ECU as for the blue one can't remember what thats for....sorry
-
IIRC the yellow one is the guage sensor and the black one is for the ECU.....if that has gone you'll experience cr4p running/starting
-
seemed to be easy enough for my $tealer to do.........charged me about an hours labour............think you've to watch the plastic housing tho.....might be as well replacing that at the same time and/or the sensors as mine lasted a 2-3 months after the thermostat was changed then started playing up
-
sounds like the thermostat..........mine did the same a few years back and that was the culprit
-
E-36 coupes are ten a penny whereas E-class coupes are reasonably rare..........the e-class still looks the danglies even if it is at least 2 shapes out of date 8)

Alpine GTA's were only 165bhp(n/a) or 200bhp turbo from the factory.........the A610's were 250bhp IIRC 3.0 turbo was intoduced in 89/90, 250 bhp. Says in the ad that it's a late model and that's it's good for 300bhp with adjustable boost and 400lb of torque. err no its the A610 that has the 3.0V6 with 250bhp(launched 91)............the GTA only had 200bhp(and from a 2.5V6) til as someone else pointed out earlier on it was strangulated by a cat and only gave 185bhp in Le mans form.........if ya don't believe me look here http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/
-
i always liked the GTA's predecessor

and very very twitchy if the fuel tank was near empty.........ive always loved them and can remember seeing them in 86/87 while i was learning to drive and thinking that one day it would be mine................also always had a soft spot for the Fuego too
-
as chubby says if you want to keep it FVWSH all you need to do is supply them with oil n filter and get them to do the annual service(thats what i do with mine)........then just get a specialist to do the other stuff.......... also even if its only got 47k miles on the clock its still a 10+yo motor so stuff will have gone thru age more than wear n tear
