not as rare as ice gay violet  ........Joe M has a Twilight violet one btw
-
well seeing as its just going to be a case of swapping a badge on the centre console and on the rear panel...c/c a grille as well as putting some solitudes on how can you tell if its genuine or not with just sitting in it.........remember classic green/beige leather is the easiest one to replicate for not much money...jedi-knight managed easily enough(can't remember if he put the badges on tho)
-
its only the 993Turbo onwards thats 4WD.........and tbh i couldn't see a 993 TT(twin-turbo) being outrun by a R32(if driven by the same person-obviously at different times) let alone a 996TT(although maybe an old 4WD system there are that many driver aids on them that you'd have to be really really silly to lose one)..........however if it was a 964 or 930 turbo in the wet it would be damn scary
-
VW Customer Services will confirm if it is a Storm or not.....over the phone.........they will even,if you ask them supply you a letter of authenticity FOC......if they ain't telling you straight away it is then its possibly "Storm" spec.....which tbh is just a leathered up VR6 with met paint  minus solitudes, badges,Sony CD.....oh and the c/c grille
-
tbh an AA or RAC one would be too critical of stupid minor things and probably miss the real problem areas..........an independant motor engineer might be a better idea
-
.............btw 9 MOT certs means nothing...they don't really check how straight and true the chassis is..................best get an independant inspection done if you have concerns
-
from memory i think the oettinger 3.2 conversion output was a bit more conservative..........something more like 225bhp-ish.......and as its a converted ABV thats probably why the engine size is down as 2.8-ish........2861cc IIRC............
-
I can vouch for it increasing throttle response.........amd it certainly wasn't the placebo effect of removing it.......tho you ideally have to get rid of the XS plastic inside the airbox to acheive this.....
-
wheels look to be too wide at the rear and of course for me it goes without saying..............if you want lambo doors......get a lambo
-
there's one thing i do like on it tho..........the Mirrors!!!!!....tho obviously sans flip paint
-
i think yer having a laugh thinking that looks mean..........FFS the rear wheels stick out stupidly its got a chavved up pair of motorbike-esque tailpipes, flip paint which is the chavv/max-power lots paint of choice,a bumper that could double up as a snowplough..............i can go on and on but i think all this chroming has maybe gotten to yer head :D
-
your getting the wrong end of the stick mate............the tailpipe you have is one side of whats known as "big-ovals"........like i said in my first post........i have them on my 993C4.......yes the C does suit an oval pipe i've also got a Miltek on my Storm and it suits it.......although not as nicely as a magnex pipe looks........but at the end of the day it your motor.........tho FYI the one you have on would actually be the driver side one on a 911
-
I disagree. one 911 big oval on 1 side of a car looks just weird...........they need 2 to set them off............but again IMO twin outlets on a C still looks wrong
-
sorry but nice as a big oval tail-pipe is(i have them on my 993)..............it just looks at odds on a C
-
my missus and in-laws all swear by Raymond Weil watches 8)
-
AVIS in Germany will hire you a spanking new 997 Carrera for £700 for a weekend btw
-
just pay yer road tax FFS :D
-
the good thing about them too is..........ive never seen a chavved/max power'd up one..............unlike some of the other rice out there
-
http://motoring.independent.co.uk/featu ... 316867.ece nice wee article trig ignore ol phatty there..................he seems to be the grinch of motoring.......if its what yer missus wants why not..........her money afterall........balls to what he thinks
-
hey full marks to her for showing a bit of individuality..............IIRC they are auto only
-
US/NA spec ones..............early UK ones had clear indicators
-
i was told by a VW head tech that the replacement schedule for the Serpentine belt is every 60k miles.........mine was changed almost 3 years ago at 53k............
-
put my plate on it within days of buying..............but its original number plate was Glasgow........and i bought it from a Lexus dealer in Edinburgh....... so say Edinburgh/Glasgow > Aberdeen 120+ miles
