  1. Manuals were available from VW until fairly recently... maybe worth checking stock or just getting one on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OWNERS-INSTRUCTION-MANUAL-HANDBOOK-VW-CORRADO-1992-16V-G60-VR6-SUPERCHARGED-RARE-/121324745604?pt=UK_CarParts_Vehicles_Manuals_Litterature_ET&hash=item1c3f84b384
  2. Yan, thanks yeah I have some of them and they're a good enough match but it's the bigger flexi lines I'm now looking at, the rubber is ok but the ends are in a bit of a state... VR6 South - basically you have a high and low pressure side, resevoir - pump - rack.
  3. Yeah I must admit that's where the let themselves down and don't offer a NCD... I just let mine lapse every year and take out a new policy via Quidco or Topcashback - this years policy cost me £12 after cashback!
  4. Hmmm - maybe they come with the original pads then... would make sense tbh as the rears have them but you always get them with the pads.
  5. Kip - those metal shims only go on the rear... The only extra bit fitted at the front is the part nrc links which clips into the caliper piston.
  6. I see in that video you could extend the warranty in the US to 100k miles - jeez, I wonder how many G60 chargers were replaced!
  7. That's an issue with alarm timing and the deadlocking of doors... just not been setup quite right. All cars with electric windows should do this - it's in the instruction manual and as Jim says the sunroof is only connected on late cars (the difference between MK2 and MK3 looms) Cars that don't do this maybe have a door handle / switch issue or didn't have factory electric windows (several early cars had dealer fit kits)
  8. Kempy - it's the sliver box above the oil filter with 2 water pipes going into it... the seal can fail leading to water and oil mixing so people think HG failure. Bit more info here - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=28874
  9. Another vote for the AA here - I've tried others over the years but the AA have far better diagnosis kit and also access to Dealer parts if a car breaks down under warranty etc. Considering they don't really cost anymore the service is superb.
  10. Are you sure it's the gasket then and not the heat exchanger?
  11. Some of my PAS pipes are not looking too clever... anyone replaced any recently or found an aftermarket supplier / solution?
  12. Not common at all - is it getting very hot do you think? Timing ok? fuel pressure?
  13. Try unplugging it and doing over 100mph... the rear feels like it lifts. Having it coming up at 45mph is pointless though imo.
  14. Dox, yeah they're not far from me and good guys - a mate bought a new PD TDI engine from them, was perfect.

  16. Just to show how good these look nearly 5 years on - still like new :-)
  17. Eurocarparts (same firm) used to list these - this is just the VW price plus 10% ish but I doubt they can get them now or hold stock. Not a bad price though as they come with the mirror glass and door gasket which are worth £50 alone!
  18. Always use new rings, not worth the effort... make sure you also buy new carrier bolts and also the dust cover / washer for the stub axle which protects the rear bearing seal.
  19. Ah - just found this, similar! http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?100430-Sick-Kr-16v-No-Spark-But-Turns-Ova
  20. Try another FEI unit - I think something odds happened to the rev limiter circuit inside it - maybe caused by a dodgy stereo or bad engine earth etc so maybe unplug the stereo as well to simplify things...
  21. What's the mileage? Have you checked the oil level? Does the bite point feel low or change? It could be syncros but it could also be clutch, clutch hydraulics, old gearbox oil, bad shifter alignment, worn engine mounts etc...
  22. WTF Eric, have you been drinking since breakfast time again or does Linux not come with a spell check??
